With Asuka you can try F2, U/F3, 21, 21 1+2. The low launcher option is D/B 4 ,3 and you can do the same combo option but you probably know that. Pokes I use is 12, 13, 23, and I'm trying to work with D/B3 and D/4. Gonna try messing around with other moves.

Trying to find me a combo that puts me in range for a [3,4] xD.

Is there crazy resets you can pull off in Tekken?
I would not say resets but you can end combos to leave your enemy really close to you so you can tack on damage with lows etc. or leave them far away for running mix ups. However extra damage can be done at walls. For example with lili if you do f2 3 while juggling you will wall splat the enemy granting extra damage. Plus your enemy has to get off the floor. Not an easy thing in tekken.

I tried this game for a few arcade runs when it came out, I haven't played any player matches since May on TTT2 or TR though. What I definitely liked about TR was that they seemingly buffed all the mid hitboxes, loved this so much since I hate Xiaoyu and the capos with a burning passion. I mean Kazuya's f3 goes over Capo's relax stance in TTT2, fkn bs. If this is the way this franchise is going it means no more random mid crushing launchers and these bullshit characters rendering 99% of movelists useless by just simply laying on their ass or going into AOP and throwing out launchers. It might also mean that Heihachi's f3 and Bruce's b2 hit grounded... mmm (drools) :D

I might experiment with TR more if it has a training mode now, test the tracking of some moves and other stuff.
Glad I am not the only one who was not satisfied with the bs in tag 2. Plus they normalised the changes in my opinion. Sorry meant changs

No. They completely destroyed the OKI game in TR by removing the ability to relaunch/catch back rolls and quick stands. The old unblockable setups should still work. If u know someone is going to mash get-up kicks after a knockdown u should still be able to launch them with a counterhit launcher.

I just played a few player matches with a buddy of mine and then some arcade mode. CPU Xiaoyu went under Kazuya's while standing 4 by doing that double low kick move where she spins both her legs and holds herself up with her hands... I am disgusted.

No. They completely destroyed the OKI game in TR by removing the ability to relaunch/catch back rolls and quick stands. The old unblockable setups should still work. If u know someone is going to mash get-up kicks after a knockdown u should still be able to launch them with a counterhit launcher.
The old oki setup relaunch just wasn't a good mechanic. 99% of new players would get hit with a combo, get relaunched then die. You never really got a chance to play tekken.

I was thinking of something a little more sexy.. I know some stuff with her but need BnB involving her iWS stances.

1+2 is her safest launcher. So im looking for something like this:

iWS+4, 2, 1, 2,1,1+2
d/b+4, 3, 2, 1, 1+2
CH(2,1)1+2, ws+4, 2, 1, 2, 1, 1+2

Some combos requires knowing how to do iWS and counter hit too. Good thing I mastered this already. Some BnB combos actually require a counter hit as well.

I think 1+4 is amazing pressuring tool to use with her and her db+1 is good for catching people who like to mash buttons against you. And also B1 is a really good counter too.

So far loving using Her, and Marshall Law. Lily a bit too though prefer someone like Zafina over her.

Mopped the floor against a 180 power Marshall Law with my Asuka xD. Im going to practice with Alisa and give her a run too. Got Dragunov as well. Is picking up TTT2 worth it at this point or am I going to get bodied left and right?

Also the Mokujin challenge thing is great for getting more money and unlocking new characters.
I wouldn't bother dude that's games impossible to learn. Dam I want dragunov!

And this is bad because? Yeah it was brutal but it was something you had to learn and made waking up an interesting mind game for both sides.
New gamers would be like f*ck that I guess wrong once and died. Its a complete turn off. Plus it looks hella dumb. I see you point and tekken is a mans game but the learning curve in tag 2 is simply too brutal. Please bear in in mind that these are the same people that rage quit in injustice ranked lol

The difference is that in say MK9 or Injustice these noobs can spam projectiles and think they are going places. In Tekken they can't and they take one wront step and get blown up. Some guys never get a chance to land a hit besides the odd invuln move landing.

Still not fond of the "invincible attacks."

It really makes trying to apply constant pressure a pain because it seems like people don't need to understand how to properly block and punish with the appropriate move between strings, instead it's just mash invincible between attacks. It's nice that's they're super punishable, but I still don't care for it. And now I have really bad habits in TTT2.

I know what you mean they are annoying me now. It's like you block a string, which means you can do your move but instead they throw out their invincible move and you aren't rewarded. So you have to continue to block and therefore not rewarded. It's texting dumb.

What makes her bad?
She has a couple of nice whiff punishers/long range moves, but that's it. Everything else she has is mediocre at best and her strings/gimmicks are easy to deal with. If you go through her movelist in TTT2 and figure out the punishes and ways to blow her up using the record mode, you'll see why I think she is not good. Sure she is better than the animals and Dr. B, but I would still place her bottom 10 in TTT2 tier lists at least. Sure you can blow up players who are not solid or don't know the match-up, as tiers don't really matter in Tekken, but considering that she most likely will not appear in future canon Tekken games or even TxSF and is among the weaker characters in the cast, I really don't recommend for anybody to put time into learning/mastering her.

It's kinda the same thing what happened with TTT2 coming out and everybody on TYM trying out the game having a hard-on for Jinpachi because of his standing punishment and moves that were really good like u4 and df1+2, but it won't take long for new people to realize that characters with a lot of flashy moves and gimmicks with limited safe options just suck. Beating random people with Kuni is like beating random people by using specials only with Kano or Noob Saibot in MK9, it makes you think the character is awesome until you come across someone who knows how to play for real.

Yeah, I understand that. I played her in the beginning of TTT2 and thought she was really good cause she got crazy high damage with Leo (but who doesn't?); however, after a day or two my friends could easily read through her gimmicks and her weaknesses became very apparent. She also has a pretty shallow moveset compared to the rest of the characters, and this may just be me, but she seemed very very simple and plain. Like, a very small pool of moves, very few simple mixups, and the same exact combos over and over again. Cool-looking character, and stylish, but could use some serious work, I think. Though isn't she pretty high up there on Korean tier lists?

Leo tag damage. I forgot that. Eeiurrggh. I may focus in dragunov when I unlock him.

Kuni places mid on most tier lists by Korean and Japanese players. Her pokes, punishers and the general risk/reward ratio of her moves just isn't good and she has nothing that is "stupid good" IMO. She has no greater reward that comes from mastering her as a character either as is the case with for example, Nina's instant ws1 combos, Lee's b2-mist step combos, Jin's parry, Mishimas in general, or instant while running moves with like Drag's wr2 or King/AK running 2+4 or giant swing. Even Paul, who is a simple character as well as Kuni has just frame demo man and his qcf1 combos do a shitload of dmg. He is risky as well as Kuni, but he has very good punishers and higher dmg output.

Anyways, here are some tier lists. I will say that Bruce is the best character to pick up initially, easily top 5. He has no just frame inputs and the only thing that is hard to do with him is the dash d3,4 after a ws2,1 launch. He has absolutely everything you could want from a character, he is easy to pick up and learn, yet he still has loads of depth and dirt that will actually work and win you matches. Even against people who know the match-up he is still an absolute beast. I mean Knee is an amazing Tekken player, but his Bruce is very basic and all he did was a couple of well placed b2's to completely blow up Bronson Tran at EVO grand finals this year.

Btw. If anyone on these boards wants to watch good tekken tag that evo top 8 this year was just amazing. Good character variety. A Korean got bopped 2. Different styles 2watch as well. What do you reckon for a tekken revolution tier list. I got law at the top based on flexibility of move set copled with his dumb evasive mid invincible move of death.
