Hmm. Hard to guess at this point, because SFxT is a completely different game.Anyways, back to the topic at hand. Which new character do you feel has the potential to become a top tier?
But out of the new ones I would say Rolento.

Sakura has always been Top 10 right? Now she might be Top 5 mannnnnnn
But its anoying that something that u get for free, (not by meter building) does that high damage and some lucker can actually beat someone that played the round better.Do you know why UMvC3 and SF4 are so hype? The "lucky" comeback factor. People want to play games where they have a chance to come back and win when they are down. It's up to you to be good enough to watch out for it and stop it
Of course she'll do fine with dat ass. Still waiting for R.Mika though.I also think that Poison won't be low tier in this game like in SFxT. Her zoning tools are pretty good, she will do fine in USF4 I think.
In SSF4AE top 16, you didn't see anybody get "lucky" w/random ultras. At high level, that doesn't factor in and no matter what people say, it's exciting to watch and you're dumb for getting hit w/it. The game forces you, as most games do now, to clamp up and be careful when somebody has super/ultra. The smart players will find ways to bait it out.But its anoying that something that u get for free, (not by meter building) does that high damage and some lucker can actually beat someone that played the round better.

People who call it luck have no idea what they are talking about. They are the easiest attacks in the game to see coming and punish if they are just thrown out there. If you get hit by an ultra you just got outplayed, luck has nothing to do with it. It is just an option you have to respect when your opponent has it.Do you know why UMvC3 and SF4 are so hype? Anyway, Karin is the character I would have really liked to see included in the roster. I'm not that enthusiastic about the ones they revealed so far. (Well, Rolento is alright)
For people saying that ultras aren't scrubby and that you have to be more careful and respect them, that's the scrubby part. Why should you gain more options just because I'm beating you? Why should I have to adjust, instead of you?
That part was explained multiple times. Games today that thrive have a comeback factor. It's what sells and keeps games going. If you make a game super hard (like Virtua Fighter) you risk losing many players. You must cater to newer players as well, and by the time you see top 32 at Evo, do you even see random ultras anymore? Of course not, so if it doesn't factor into high level play, it shouldn't matterFor people saying that ultras aren't scrubby and that you have to be more careful and respect them, that's the scrubby part. But they are still in a better position than they would be without itIf you're really doing a good job of beating the other player, you'll have like 90% life when they have 50 or less%. If they hit you with an ultra, you likely will have an ultra of your own, you gain meter from taking the damage and they no longer have their ultra. You're still in a better position than them.
It totally does factor into high level play! If I have to worry about it, then it factors in. For me personally... I don't care about hype. Yeah it's good and fun, but the actual competition takes precedence over that. I would rather a small community of true competitors than a large one that cares more about hype than actual skill. Sadly, it looks like others don't agree with me.That part was explained multiple times. Games today that thrive have a comeback factor. It's what sells and keeps games going. I don't if we have patch notes about changes to characters, but here are my wishes:
-Ken:
Comboable sweep
Better hitbox on crHP (maybe make it 4 frames for easier force stand combos into tatsu)
HK tatsu 0 and LK tatsu not -2 on hit
Better forward-backward movement and better backdash (so it won't get caught by DPs after tatsu on hit)
dream change: U1 full animation after SRK FADC x3
-Cody:
Make frickin' Zonk into DP motion, that holding down stuff sucks, that alone would make him be a better character.
Also, the 5th character is Scorpion. Calling it now :3

I hate all of those mechanics except super. Because you build that by initiating offense also. And don't you think you should be rewarded for being in the lead? If I get a 70 percent health lead, I shouldn't have to work as hard, because I already have done most of work, and at that point It's up to you to beat me.HGTV Soapboxfan High level play is watching out for more than 1 thing. If you are stomping somebody's lights out, the match is pretty much over and it shouldn't be. Now you can mindlessly rush down or chip or whatever, what skill is that exactly? That's like saying work hard 85% of the time and be rewarded.
Tekken, you have walls and rage as comeback factors.
Soul Calibur/Virtua Fighter, you have ring outs to worry about at all times
SF3 has had supers since 3S and it was one of the most popular games of all time
I'm not sure how old you are, but I remember in the arcades, I loved SF2 champion edition, but if I had bison, even as a kid, I knew I won. There was no comeback factor and you watched yourself get chipped to death. A comeback super would have been something good to watch out for
