Where does Bane stand?

All too easy...
It's more like he gets a safe on block wakeup for free if you do that with trait
Nah that will be armor broken easily and mb F3 already covers every wake up option he has.

The only concern i had was that it would make his tick throws safe but d2 charge and d1 charge can both be jumped still, i cant remember f2d tho

With level 3 trait and two bars of meter he gets nearly 900 damage midscreen on Superman and his combos aren't even close to difficult.
I'm pretty sure BnB is 653 with level 3, but I may be using wrong combo. It's also one without interactibles.
Without venom it does 503 BTW. A reminder that this is not IGAU venom. Damage numbers on it aren't high and debuff is way more punishing for several reasons (namely: numbers, duration, weaker keepaway).

Although feel free to correct me if I'm doing wrong combos or something.

On one thing I agree though, his execution is anything but demanding.

Tanya, Tanqui, and Kaprisun Specialist
But Cheetah is?

Either way I disagree I think he's balls, bottom 5 easy.
Too many terrible MUs and his only "pro" is being able to armor gaps with venom. Mixups are all slow, risky and MB b3 blows up all options straight up.
Half the game's strings are unthrowable and the throw does trash damage now, trait reset glitch is still there so thats another issue.
Bane has placed. Cheetah hasn't. Cheetah sucks, Bane is good

Jump in D3, 123~DB MB, JI3, 123~DB1 does well over 800 on level 3 midscreen on Superman. I don't have the exact numbers but have a video on my phone of the combo doing 900 damage on Batman.

Counterpoke with armoured DB2 at all times.
On paper he looks super good but considering that MB F3/B3 work pretty well against his own armour, a pretty bad risk/reward ratio for his mix on top of the fact that getting caught in debuff against nearly every character can basically do 50%+ at least.

Like obviously once he gets hit mix going he hurts, but feels bad when someone neutral jumps your grab/blocks basically anything that isn't a grab and then just full combo punishes you which basically eats up your whole venom time and they just pressure you for free basically.

780 dmg for LVL 3 and 2 bars...

On the other hand, you can eat 2 full combos on debuff for 600 damage each, even more, your rival can clash any hit and start again the debuff thing, then your bane will need to clash in order not to die and again debuff is reseted...

Banes damage and debuff are fine, that is a non-issue, its still weird command grab does less than throw but in its current state with his other tools and ways to open people up its fine, whatever. Looking at his bad match ups, none of them have to do with damage taken vs damage he can dish out. His problem match ups come from his underwhelming nuetral outside of D1/D2 range.

Obviously you cant boost it too much (I think my suggestion of safe charge was a bit much lol) but he should have something a bit more. I think the best option is making F2 faster so he something to whiff punish with. Keep it unsafe but make it like 16 frames (same as Swamp F2) so he can check people whiffing moves 24/7 in neutral (couch, Wonder Woman players, cough).

Then just make S2 10 frames to make it a bit more usable, but honestly this ones not that important

Seriously Casual Player.
Couple of things. One, Grodd DOES have air dash when he is in trait. And two, Bane can absolutely do 50% damage combos and up. But how viable are they? If you guys are just level 3 Venom combo jamming on fools whenever you feel like it, I'm clearly doing something wrong.

I love when people just pump to level 3 in neutral and expect an easy 50% combo or 25% grab

There it is...
Supermans trait does crazy damage and eats armor with no debuff penalty,

Cheetah does crazy damage with trait and no debuff penalty,

Flash can do almost 700 damage off a trait combo with no debuff penalty.

Firestorm lolol 500 damage vortex with trait and no debuff

All of them have better normals than Bane all of them can close distance better than Bane. Two of them can also zone half the cast out too.

Edit: I forgot some

Hellboy- 500 damage 1 bar with trait that you can pick (sorry Wonderwoman) No debuff penalty

Raiden- Almost 500 damage off a trait combo that makes most of his moves better no debuff
Im just guna point out the obvious that banes has armour and can active whenever you want, doesnt he have like 750 damage combos?

You’re saying that like it doesnt count.
Well it does but then you become literally the worst character in the game for about 10 seconds after it runs out. His neutral game is pretty weak compared to other top characters, and his mix is pretty unsafe.

@PetulantWaste 's argument is that other characters get pretty comparable damage without having to commit as many resources, have better neutral, zoning tools, or safer options.
