UMK3:TE Revision 2.0.042 is Out Now!

I'm sure it can be done, but you are the only one who's ever asked about it AFAIK and it doesn't really give anything new. Plus people are used to HK as it's been that way forever.
I like the fact that ANY button can be used in the jump portion - LP or HP for jump punch starters, HK or LK for SU-JK starters. But consistent with HP starters, the Knee coming off a jump attack into combo has to be HK. I think it's good for consistency. I think it was built into the game on purpose.

Finally got this working, what's the best method for netplay?

This combo did 57% in the first beta. 50% off a freeze still seems a bit much.


I know it's more of a critique than a bug, and for that I apologize. But a lot of characters had anti airs nerfed, this one is crazy!
But if you do a jk off the aa freeze into a ground freeze, the same combo is less damaging, siginificantly.

I know... he has a 59% from an aa freeze as well and more in the corner. This will definitely be looked at.

HSmoke damage is also inconsistent due to the DDP setting on the Spear at the 4th or 5th hit. You can do a Spear as the 3rd hit and get much more damage than you could using a more optimal vanilla combo. It doesn't make sense. (Credit to Nicolas Monti on Youtube for bringing this up)
 
Will Noob be getting fatalities any time soon? I was hoping so... Was just doing some other ninja inputs and hoping for the best.
Sadly I haven't relived the MK1 genesis days where I accidentally hit FDF HP and got the spine rip.

There are some other things that will be done before "extra" things like Noob fatalities. But he will at LEAST get his MKT special moves and a babality.

Version 35 will be out in the next day or so with the new Kombat Kodes and the Arcade board fix so it doesn't crash.

This is probably way off topic but I finally got umk3:te to work on the PC. It took me a while when everything was right in front of me, so this will probably be another, right in front of me questions. Does anyone have any input on setting up the arcade sticks? My stick reads on the PC but once I get into the actual game and go to set up the controls it doesn't let me.

Which version of Mame are you using? You probably need to go into properties and enable joystick input. There's a checkbox.

i have a hunch this might have something to do with directinput, which .119 does not allow
try .64 instead to see if it works then dig from there

There's a way to force Direct input in the MAME source code, maybe if there's ever another .119 build it will have it.

Find the .INI file and edit it in notepad. You turn on controller in there.
Yeah I've tried that, to try and send keys to Mame 119 (for controller switching), it didn't work. Maybe for his stick it would work.

It has something to do with raw input or xinput.

Thank you guys! I found it. Yeah it was right under my nose, I guess I was a little blind. But now I've been grinding out umk3 and I'll be prepared for WB3. This game is too much fun
