Well the ppl who are taking the villain roles should pay off officials so they can have a sure win or blackmail the official at tourneys, or heros saying they will expose them if the have a girlfriend/wife that the hero cheats on their wife or girlfriend etc. The villains should also have goons working for them say like have them sabotage the heros controller or pad whichever they use, or if they use a car slash their tires so they wont make it in time for a tourney etc.

Personally, I'd pick Brady, Pig, Ketchup and Mustard for heroes of the community as I learned a huge lot from them and the work they put to help the community understand certain aspects of the game or specific characters. I know there are more guys putting work there too, but those are the ones that helped me the most with the stuff they posted.

Madzin

Blood God is hype as fuck. We all want to see that 80% combo in tournament! He is also one of the strongest threats to the dominance of Foxy and is probably the most badass Sub in the world. Still, there are few players that get the crowd as hype as Madzin and Blood God..... HERO​

Aquaman

This guy has charisma, a lot of it. Kotal Khan is a hype train for sure but on top of it he is one of the behind the scene stars of the US scene. A pillar of the community and all around nice guy..... HERO.

Foxy Grampa

The guy is one of the best players in the world, isn't shy if getting into the fun of it all and talking some smack now and then and pushes the UK vs The World hype with jingoistic flag waving. Yet, he is just so good, and we have all been beaten to fuck by LK ourselves, and as viewers we are just sick of it seeing LK. There is only one other player that everyone tips to always win, but secretly always wants them to loose. ..... VILLAIN

Sonic Fox

Ok, lets get the other Fox out as well. One of the top, if not the top player, teabags like a boss in game, kicksass, plays nearly the entire cast at a T-Level and what is worse? He looks like he is having so much fun doing it. Take it seriously you muther fucker!!! lol..... VILLAIN

Lord Brady

A giant in the MK Scene and "Mr Sub-Zero"... NRS harassment as a hobby and breaking the game mechanisms for decades is a signature move. The waves of Negative Energy he transmits make some of the most entertaining threads in TYM history and his famous tantrums provide salt for the entire world wide scene.... VILLEIN

The Condiment Brothers

Ketchup and Mustard have taken MK commentary to another level, and added some of the best community building the scene has ever seen. Oh, and they both were top 8 at evo bitches, so do not give me that "they are just casters" crap. With the announcement of the awesome KP2, there are many that are waiting for the return of the Red and Gold..... HEROES

Adonis The God

A veteran fighter from before it was "cool". One of the most outspoken and "I do not give a fuck" players. He says what he likes and he doesn't give a shit if you are a noob or a #1 Seed..... VILLAIN

Saltface

As a regular stream viewer for nearly all majors I can say with out a doubt there is few players that EVERYONE in chat goes nutz for as soon as he is on stream. The waves of positive comments in chat is always astounding. The fact that he always just misses out makes it bitter sweet and drives even more support.... HERO

Kitana Prime

A character specialist that languished in the hell for the 1st few months, finally getting his patch and getting in on the fun. There is a honesty here, a total lack of tier whoring and a projection to the viewers of genuine love of MK that is endearing. Plus he is a hype commentator so he see more of his personality than most... HERO.

Michelangelo

Speaking of players that just look like they are having a blast, there is this guy. MK fanatic and only Sonic Fox comes near to seaming as chill and having such a great time. I've seen him cast, play and chat on forums and I do not think I have ever heard a bad thing from this guy. A total model citizen for the MK community..... HERO

Pig of the Hut

Another of the old school. Spending years with character specialization has lead him to be bitter in the MK scene. An acolyte of Lord Brady, he is a lab monster and shows skills so powerful, yet the "game" always fails him. Not one tyo shrink form all out war on the forums has even started legit flame threads and no one will ever forget the piano shamming of M2Dave.... the guy we love to hate... ... VILLAIN.​

Burger King

The very definition of a tier whore. Counter Pick King. A player with so much match up knowledge he can play most of the cast at T-Level. This is a guy that knows how good he is and has no problem saying it. One for the anti-fans. People will flock in vast numbers to the stream just to barrack for the other guy. There are few people that case as much hype and make events as much fun... also he is one of the mega trolls. The "No one can ever be as good as YOMI" thread is still getting views, just for the awesome read!.... VILLAIN

He finds himself parked at a gas station, screaming to himself from the passenger side of what is presumably his vehicle. Pig of the Hut (Downey Jr.), who was privy to Lord Brady's promised return, decided that he would join Lord Brady, and together they would form the old guard of the NRS scene.

It'll be a story of friendship and character loyalty. Tom Brady will have to come face to face with the ice clone that haunts him, find the real him deep inside, and finally let go of the Chill of Despair. Co-starring PL (Michal B Jordan), CDJR/Mani (Oscar Isaac), and 16Bit (Zach Galafinakis or whatever his name is).​

To me, @YOMI RM JagoBlake will always be a hero, of that honourable sort who always dies first in universes like Game of Thrones, just to establish what kind of show we are watching. Always plays heavy traditional footsies and reactive game even if game itself shits on such playstyle

Pig of the hut is a hero for me. No question about that imo. He does so much for the community. Gotta love that guy.
Edit: he is also a kick ass guitarist check his yt channel

And I think I actually consider F0xy a hero. Yeah, yeah calm down xD but seriously, as far as I know, he quit his job to be an pro player. Which can be consider dumb and reckless even, but judging from his success you can't say anythin against that.
I like his determination, he clearly knows his character in and out I respet him a great deal. Hope I can "fight" him one day.

Biggest hero is madzin though.
I'm absolutly biased on that one, since I'm also a german Kotal main.


Anti hero would be PL.
I just can't hate this guy. He plays unsafe as shit, but he got something I like.

For the record, I don't mean disrespect or disdain for "villain" role, we can just be not on the same page when it comes to terms. Some villainous archetypes are rather cool.

Disclaimer: I have no idea how accurate those MU numbers. I'm just really big negative nancy about everything, including balance issues in video games. Helps with being happy because you are pleasantly surprised more often as a result.

As a spectator... the guys I root for and against are as follows:

Sonic Fox = Hero when he's playing Kitana/Ermac/Cassie (He may not have been the first, but really fun to watch his style of keep away/pressure Kitana and Rushdown Ermac; Cassie only because I usually play Cassie and got to see in action a lot of the things I've read in theory)

Sonic Fox = Villain when he's playing Erron Black/Tanya (Love for EB, but man the domination the first few months was sooo boring to watch. Tanya.. while I respect the players who put work into becoming machines at her mechanics.. like automated factories... boring to watch)

A Foxy Grampa = Villain. Sorry man, seriously seems like a cool guy and it's nothing personal but I hate watching Kung Lao win, and not only win.. I hate that brutality of his (ironic, since i remember the love affair when it was first revealed) and you, my good sir, almost always end with that brutality, when I was still learning the game, my cousin would ALWAYS finish with that brutal so I absolutely HATE it >.<. Mad respect for you though and wish you the best even though I'll be rooting against you MOST of the time (a bit illogical.. w/e)

Pig of the Hut = Hero. I see a lot of ppl putting villain for Pig, but me personally, He is kind of the inspiration for me to at least try to be competent at fighting games as he shared his passion and love for the game. Loved watching him play in Injustice and even more now in MKX, though the salt can sometimes be overbearing >.< Still gotta love his passion no matter how bitter/angry it can get at times. And also love reading/watching his helpful tips/techs/guides.

Khaotic Raptor = Hero. Before Hayatei & St9rm was doing good work with Takeda, this guy was the first guy I saw play Takeda at a high level (I think it was at Toryuken... not positive which tourny it was). Really made me explore my options and not always choose only the "best" characters (even though I still mostly play Cassie lmao). Only problem is, I've only seen him at 2 tournaments. But still love rooting for the guy. Also can add Hayatei and St9rm as heroes.

Dab = was Hero. When I first started watching ESL, he was the only Cassie player consistently making top 8. Also loved watching him play Jaqui. Unfortunately, like SonicFox before him, he is now a Villain cause he plays boring, boring Tanya (Chelsea FC FTL). #dathairdoe ^_^

YOMI = Villain(s). May be unfair but almost always root against the Yomi Guys. Success breeds Envy.. so I guess they can take this as a compliment? haha though it's a very backhanded compliment indeed. But seriously, a lot of respect for these guys. They are all great players and seem like cool guys, but I tend to root against more often than not. However in my defense, I can't help it cause many of them played Kung Lao (see what I wrote about Foxy). Although as I write this, I'm really sorry to lump you all together as one group... That isn't really fair.

Anyways.. the topic was fun to read and I just wanted to share my own biases ^_^ Thanks to all the competitors that make playing/watching this game so much fun!

Sonicfox (hero/villain) - Most dominant player which makes people want to see him lose but also beats YOMI a lot, very goofy, looks like he has fun, his teabag is funny.
Anyone in YOMI (villain) - Always taking up room in top 8
Biohazard (hero) - the best ferra/torr who nobody uses, fun to watch
Tom Brady (villain) - very negative and is an asshole/attacks people on his stream, ice klone
Pig of the hut (villain) - Whines alot and is sensative/attacks people on his stream, kenshi
Perfect Legend (villain) - 13-0
Foxy grampa (hero) - UK's hero trying to beat America,
Milky Situation (hero) - Got unexpected top 8 at EVO and is a cool dude with an afro and wears a cow hat

Who is what? Are we far along enough now in the game to have established these roles?
Perhaps I can give an example, and some reasoning:

Hero: Hayatei, comes out of nowhere and wins with a relatively unknown charcter and is a crowd pleaser. Or... Nivek, loved by all, swaggy as fuck Raiden, international bromance with many players.

Villain: PND Ketchup, immense salt, always lingering near the top when he enters a tournament, has a top 8 evo medal that all other competitors have to hold, knowing that he isnt even really a tournament player anymore. He stole that medal from the competitors.

Then there's the grey area, or something along the lines of anti hero: Pig of the Hut, low tier hero, hard headed competitor, seasoned veteran, lone wolf.

Who would you guys say is what role in this community (as it stands)? Has anybody lived long enough as a hero to become the villain, or do we have any villains that have changed their ways to become heroes? Opinions?
