You're in.Wait you have to make a Dick joke for it to be official?
Well whenever you beat someone with NW you can say you Dick slapped them.
1. For the most part yes however Super serves a purpose later in matches if you don't want to get Clashed.I have some questions. I plan on being a pro Nightwing player, specifically using the Regime outfit (because I am Lord Damian Wayne, after all).
1. When I was testing combos in practice, I notice his super is INCREDIBLY lackluster in damage. Should I forego using his super and stick to meter burns instead?
2. When are the most optimal times to use Escrima and Staff, and most optimal times to switch between them?
3. Does Nightwing have a projectile parry, or does he have to jump/block projectiles?
4. What're some of his most efficient combos? Is there a video displaying them?
5. Does the Regime outfit provide more defense against basic attacks? I read somewhere that it did.
6. What button do I have to hit to plant a bomb on the stage objects instead of merely jumping off of them?
7. Which heroes/villains are going to give me a hard time in specific?
Thanks for reading!
Alright, thanks. This info's been handy. But on the 2nd question, I ask because it takes a lot time to switch weapons stances. I tend to favor heavy Escrima use as it allows for better screen movement and combo potential. Is Nightwing one of the lower damage characters in the game? I was watching a tournament on the Alpha Counter Twitch channel, and one of the Nightwing fighters did a terrific job of advancing. He didn't win, but he proved he could be used well. I'm just afraid of how much I have to put into him to get damage output. Is he efficient compared to other fighters, or is he definitely more of a, "Because I love this character" kind of pick?1. 2. Depends on the matchup and your playstyle.
3. No projectile parry...or parry of any kind.
4. Check the BnB thread.
5. ...not to my knowledge. That's an odd oversight if that's the case.
6. You have to Meter Burn them.
7. Lantern is the most likely, can be a pain. I have a feeling Hawkgirl won't be fun either.
Also, in general, I ported over a lot of knowledge to SRK to catch them up.

Can people to check to see if it's satisfactory? We haven't gotten character specific forums for whatever reason so I had to pool a lot of info in one thread.
No worries bruh....My bad.
It's only slow if you do it raw without anything. You can cancel a lot of normals into stance switch and you can special cancel the stance switch itself.Alright, thanks. This info's been handy. B2 if I expect them grounded. j3 if I expect them to jump.No worries bruh.
Question, what do you start the round with? I always check them with b2...but what do you guys do?
I also played against Superman computer on at least Hard. He makes for a cheap bot opponent because almost everything he does is lightning fast. What's the best strat against Superman? Should I start defensively, switch to staff? I already know that jumping against Superman is suicidal, so I'm pretty sure that most of the fight would be on the ground, which means lots of counter play and sticking to fast frame startups, right? It's only slow if you do it raw without anything. As for lower damage...not really. His damage is pretty par for the course. Actually above average for meterless. His meter damage isn't special but most of your meter is going for Flip Kicks or Ground Blasts anyway, or other utilities.
And it's week one. But he's strong.
Depends on the Superman. If they prefer taking to the sky, using Heat Vision, then you're going Escrima Heavy. Wait for a Heat Vision, block it, dash forward and get in his grill (using whichever stance you feel most comfortable using up close). If he prefers the ground you could get away with more Staff play. But save meter for Pushblocks, you'll need them.I also played against Superman computer on at least Hard. Pushblocks are when they try to grab you and you break it, right?Depends on the Superman. If they prefer taking to the sky, using Heat Vision, then you're going Escrima Heavy. No, that's a throw tech...which requires no meter.Pushblocks are when they try to grab you and you break it, right?
Oh, so having room to breathe is vital against him.No, that's a throw tech...which requires no meter.
It's when you're blocking and you burn a meter to push them off of you setting you both back to neutral.
I usually just switch to staff. D1 is 6 frames and +1 on block. I think Batman is the only character in the game with a 5 frame jab but I may be wrong about that.Pretty much. His strings are very safe and can turn plus. Don't let him stay in on you. If you're gonna be close, make sure you're the one with the momentum.
This is great! I'm gonna try to take as many notes as I can. On a not so serious question, how many Damian-specific quotes are there? So far I found a more growly version of "I'm going to enjoy this!", I think only Damian says, "Here comes the hot sauce!" during a clash, and when he gets the enemy's silver bar down to 0, he specifically says, "Loser!" I know he has some words for Batman too. Anything I'm missing?Pretty much. His strings are very safe and can turn plus. Don't let him stay in on you. If you're gonna be close, make sure you're the one with the momentum.
The problem is that a Superman won't let you switch to staff if he's close. And if he's far, Staff is less than desireable since he'll just stay in the air raining down Heat Visions.I usually just switch to staff. D1 is 6 frames and +1 on block. Typically, I'll just out mash them until they develop a respect for it.
I usually just block to see what they'll do. Helps to see what kind of player someone is. But that's mostly because I'm more defensive in general (spacing, poking and punishment, mainly). I was always taught that pushing buttons was never a good idea. I'll try doing b2 more to see how it works out though. No worries bruh.
Question, what do you start the round with? I always check them with b2...but what do you guys do?
I use b2. After the b2 you can quickly switch to staff and land a db2 mb to carry on into a full combo. No worries bruh.

Either wingdings or b2.No worries bruh.
