This is why I normally play people who destroy me instead of playing people who are not my level. (but I thought he was, he's a blue-ranker)

context: I just picked up Jack literally 3 matches ago before I started playing him. I wrecked his Asuka, he then switched to his main, 3-0'd me once and I started going even with him. He started to talk shit about how Asuka has nothing then I told him she is more of a defensive character. When I started playing Asuka that's when things went downhill.

I'm pretty new to the Japanese notations, so I think of them with the Street Fighter notations, like DFDF2 = MB Fireball.

I agree with this. He has nothing to combo his attacks than his flying kick, spin kick, fireball and such, literally known as port from Street Fighter V.

Whenever I see a zoning character, like Akuma and Devil Jin, I always sidestep and getting close bit by bit.

Anti-Air. If I know them, I will stop doing any jumping attacks on them. If I jump on them, they will most likely grab me on air, just like Kotal does.

AA, who are you playing? One of the last things you should ever be doing in Tekken is jumping at people.

Stuff like Raven's air attack or Yoshi's or something, those types of moves, aren't the type of stuff you want to be trying to AA like Injustice. You want to counter hit if it's slow, sidestep, or block, depending on the move.

I mean to avoid the anti-air grabs, like King's. This is what I mean. I play as Eddy and Chloe, and plan to play as Katarina (the Hwoarang one), cuz I like her fast kick fighting style.

You just don't use moves that make you go airborn not much else you can do in that scenario its not very common unless you are very predictible. I can't think of any other characters that can grab you out of the air besides king though I could be wrong.

While I played my buddy's King, which I won 3-1, my only option was to do low parries or long charging attacks, like Eddy's FF3+4 (not the DB3+4, which charges with glowing green and yellow shits), while I block and avoid him no matter what. Because I knew King was an AA character, I stopped going for jumping attacks.

I think you should just forget about this whole AA thing as it sounds like it rarely happens.

What attacks are you doing that are getting you air grabbed?? I can't imagine a match with multiple AA grabs per round lol. You'll definitely have to upload a match so we can see what you're talking about, and maybe advise how to use a differently or not use a move at certain times.

Unfortunately, I was playing at my buddy's PS4, so I didn't record it. Once I find a good King player, or my buddy gets a new TV to play again in online, I'll be sure to record it at my own PS4.

Dude its pretty much a non issue you should not even worry about it and focus on other things for sure. If it is happening multiple times per round you are playing way too predictable and just have to mix it up better so he is not expecting it.

you can hold df for a while, if you're scouting for one, since low parry now can be buffered as well.

are you talking about kings ender where he grabs you and powerbombs you after his juggle? Thats not the problem the issue is you getting launched in the 1st place.
