Going to drop INJ2 like it were a hot bowl fresh out the microwave?
I'm always interested in which characters you would like to main, you had so many in SFV lol
Going to play both Tekken and Inj. I dropped SFV like it was on fire though. Terrible travesty of a game.
In Tekken man, its hard to say until i can really play the game.. But I like what Ive seen from Jin, Bryan and Claudio so far. In a perfect world, Im looking for a character that has strong mobility (I cant play clunky, slow characters. I like speed and mobility), good spacing and neutral ability/options.. I don't like to have to be up your nose to be effective and I really really prefer characters with strong a neutral game. And a character that can dictate the pace of the match, and play well in slightly different ways. I like being able to speed a match up, or slow it down, depending on how I read the match and I like a character that has more than one gameplan.
A good example of this would be Karin from SFV. The character I wanted to main since early s1 but just wasnt confident enough on until s2 to really *play* and once I did, she became my final, actual, long term main. So, Karin has GREAT walk speed. Her footsie/neutral/spacing game is batshit. She can very effectively keep you at a range she wants you at with her amazing, rangy normals. She can whiff punish and enforce her will there, working behind her normals to get offense going and condition the opponent. Karin can also control pace well, she can dart in and open up with a barrage of offense, aggressing hard and fast, and she can keep up that rush down style as long as she wants.. but if she wants to slow things down, her mobility lets her dart back out to safety and she can put out a wall of rangy normals to keep the opponent off her and slow the match way down. This lets you play her in different ways based on the situation/opponent/what you had for breakfast. Shes also very strait forward and this is important to me. I like moves to do what they look like they do.. and I like straight forward tools/gameplans/combos/etc.
So, when I get t7, I will be looking for a couple characters that can do what I just listed. I'll find three or so that fit that criteria, or very close to it, and try to narrow those three down to one. Normally I always play at least 2 characters in a game, but in Tekken, Ill need to be FOCUSED and concentrate.
Also, not listed, but ideal, would be strong damage (who doesn't want that though?) and the character being a male. Now, I play male and female characters both and its not a game-killer for me either way, but again, in an ideal scenario, I prefer to play a male character. I tend to put myself in my characters shoes when I play a game and that is always easier when they are male.
Ive taken suggestions elsewhere in this thread, but Im always open to more based on my criteria, =]
