Strongest opponent Scorpion could beat?

As for durability, if it is purely a fight, and therefore the idea that he can just respawn or whatever was removed from the equation, it doesn't look like Scorpion is all that durable canonically. I mean yes, in MK he is fighting some badasses etc. but people of average --> above average strength can mess up his body pretty badly.

I'd say canonically he could take Batman, Hawkman/Hawkgirl maybe. Probably Killer Frost.
He could probably take Bane as well I think, given his powerset.
While he does have magic, he's still not fast enough to take down Flash or Superman without prep-time. I don't think he can take Green Lantern either... or most of the other colour Lanterns in a straight fight.


I'd put him above Batman + Bat-Family + Bat villains tier but I'm not sure about others. He might be able to take Aquaman...

Well I based him as about meta human strength since he is capable of tearing human arms, legs and heads off with relative ease which actually takes a LOT of strength to pull off but not going into superhuman levels (gorillas are about 8X stronger than an adult male human and are capable of ripping human limbs from their sockets very easily so I say Scorpion is about venomed up Bane level of strength.)

If we can say he's about meta human in strength we can then look at his tools. He has ranged abilities with hellfire and "Get over here!" but I imagine anyone with half decent reflex's will not be bothered by his chain much. His various blades and short/mid range teleport could make up for a lack of footspeed and strength against certain characters who aren't speedsters themselves. He could probably take most non superhuman opponents who appear in IJ like Batman, Green arrow etc and the meta humans like Bane but when you start going into the inbetween characters like Cyborg it's a bit hard to say.

Well, Green Arrow did beat Etrigan who is pretty much Scorpion sans the spear and revenge motif.

Yeah Scorpion was resurrected by the magic of Quan Chi. So does that make Scorpion a magic ninja? I don't know lol.

My guess is even if he had magic swords and magic powers he would still get destroyed for free by Supes and the Flash. He would get out smarted by Batman and Lex (even with zero prep time). Overpowered by DD, WW and anyone of similar strength.

So basically he would only be able to beat normal humans who have a lower IQ than Batman (Joker, Harley, Nightwing, Green Arrow, possibly Bane and Grundy).

btw Martian Manhunter is weak to fire so that should be a good match. :)

I dunno about Batman, Batman often loses his fights when unprepared against anyone who's physically stronger or faster than him unless it's Terry who's suit makes him stronger :L

The problem with this is that he wouldn't be instantly resurrected, so whoever kills him once wouldn't get the chance to tire out. Think of it more like an annoyance every 2nd or 3rd day he'd just come back to get killed again. Supes would just write it down in his agenda under Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays something in the lines 'deal with that pesky immortal spectre from hell' he would probably write it down as a 15 minute appointment.

Just call Doomsday. Scorpion wont bother coming back from the dead just to die AGAIN. Also Vulcan Hades, Bane is as smart as Batman, and i mean the real version of Bane, not the ape version from Batman and Robin nipple movie.

Actually in Deception, if i remember correctly, Scorpion was the one who killed Onaga, but he had help from the Elder Gods.

Fighting prowess wise he would probably go toe to toe with Green Arrow, Batman, Dick, Black Canary and others like them but wouldn't hold a candle to the DC powerhouses

He was supposed to be. But the real ending is Shinjinko (spelling?) gathered all the fighters in one spot, including Scorpion, and took their powers (for a short while) to destroy Onaga.

So Scorpion's power indirectly destroyed Onaga sort of, it just wasn't Scorpion using Scorpion's power. And Scropion's power wasn't alone. Overkill, much?

I read somewhere that the real ending of Deception was Scorpion's ending. I could be wrong though, cause i read that sometime ago. Trolljinko got trolled hard by Onaga.

Phantom Stranger merely observes. He doesn't deal in the affairs of everyone else. Now, if we're talking heaven/magic shit here, Spectre would condemn Scorpion to the Netherrealm/Hell and there isn't any way he'd get out.

LOL a 15 minute appointment. No doubt that Superman would easily take him out in 5 min or less. however I didn't think of that. He isn't instantly resurrected though I don't we ever saw anyone kill him either considering he's immortal. He was reborn after all like Bi-Han(Sub Zero/Noob Saibot)

scorp has a good shot vs a lot of DC guys... hes not all hand to hand combat..

lol guys he can die, he just got resurrected by quan chi, he was almost dead in the end of mkda, thanks god elder gods save him :cool: . he died in the intro of mk9, and mksm too (mksm is non canon tho). the only thing that makes he's immortal is that he's mk icon and ed boon's favorite boy lol :rolleyes:, mk games will always have him.
after playing and watching mk9 story mode, noob (who is also got resurrected by quan chi) "died" the same way scorpion did in mkda, i think maybe the elder gods will save him, and maybe mk10 we will have elder sub-zero again :cool:.
