Why does she feel so easy to win with then? Using her makes you feel advantaged at all times.
Strong and simple works well vs newer players and people that don't know the matchup. Once you get to vs people that understand your frametraps as cammy you gotta play incredibly solid and be on point with hit confirms and shimmys to win.

I'm going to revisit Rashid after some Guile tomorrow. I was going to run some Urien but I dunno. I honestly don't think he's going to make it much longer as he is right now, Laura either. With Capcom hinting that there may be another patch. This makes me nervous to spend too much time with either of them right now incase one or the other gets the Nash treatment. Granted Urien will be a difficult character to make bad without really trying. His moveset and range in a game that's built around spamming normals like a lunatic is just so damn strong. Even if some of his stuff lost frame advantage with good spacing he could still not only stay safe, but keep pressuring.

Question @FL Rushdown, what are a couple super basic reflector combos? Don't care about the crazy mix-up/reset stuff yet, just a couple ways to turn my trigger in to 'mo damage?

I mean there's spacing requirements so you'll have to practice but f mp f hp xx neutral trigger then 3 normals(dependent on your spacing) cr hp xx hp fireball hk tackle is super common. You can also start it off a cr mk xx neutral trigger but again the normals you use to get the bounces can change depending on spacing.

If you're in the corner you wanna do your starter into neutral aegis and get 2 bounces then do a cr hp xx hp headbutt, hp fireball, ex tackle for the side switch. You also get a pretty grimy mixup with a second aegis out of the tackle but you probably don't care lol.

If you're opponent is cornered you can do f mp f hp xx back trigger and let the mirror hit 3 times into cr hp, cr hp xx mk knee drop, f mp. The second cr hp has to hit high for this to work but afterwards you get a super meaty st mp which is plus enough that cr hp will combo on hit or beat 3 framers on block. If it hits it loops back into itself if it's blocked you can cancel into ex fireball to stay safe.

I also like hp(crush counter) dash up f mp f hp xx neutral trigger cr hp, delay, mk knee drop, f mp xx neutral trigger. The f mp drops them on the last hit of the first aegis and if it hits you get a combo if they block you're super plus and they're in danger of getting thrown/hit into the second aegis.

I'd make a vid but I gotta be at work in like 6 hours so Ima get some sleep. There should be setup/combo vids online but if you want I'll make one after work.

I think I'm gonna drop akuma. He's fun. But that's about it. I like winning too much to justify playing him when I wanna win lol. So I'm trying a bunch of stuff out.
Yea he's weird. I'm still gonna use him when I'm messing around but other than that meh. Atleast playing him helped my understand how to beat the kids in ranked using him. I'm probably gonna stick with Rashid. Dude has everything I want in a character and I actually like him as an actual character.

IMO you can get to Gold with any character if you anti air consistently, take advantage of people who can't anti air, and you know how to deal with gimmicks (e.g., Rassenha and moves like that).

If anyone is struggling below that level I'd recommend focusing on just that. Literally don't try to play footsies at all (it will feel weird ignoring that entire part of the game), but it's honestly not necessary and even counterproductive at lower levels (e.g., if you are trying to whiff punish normals against a maniac, I guarantee you will get jumped on).

If you run into someone who is patient and won't fall for the above easily, just throw a few fireballs, walk around near them, and/or poke them a few times, and 90% will give up on being patient.

Yeah, I've already learned that playing footsies' in low level ranked is simply a waste of time. Playing street fighter in general is a waste of time. You don't even need to know your bnbs just your CC combo. Hitting a normal is pointless in the nuetral they will be either airborne the second they get back up or land in the first place, or they will be mashing a DP or random normals to the point there just isn't a logical reason to do anything except block and punish.

Vs Kens I literally just walk back and forth close to them and wait for the DP, or if they jump, I'll jump and hit them in the air because that interaction WITHOUT FAIL triggers a DP on landing.

=\

It is all just patience.

He's ok. But there's no reason to pick him if winning is your primary concern. He'd be better if the tiers weren't what they were. All his bad matchups are the characters you see every game.

And as you mentioned, he suffers the most of any character in the game from a dropped combo or flubbed input or simply lagg related horseshit. I'm learning ranked has a built in fuck-you feature where occasionally you AA someone clean as can be and then you roll back to being full combo punished.

I was playing against top 100 players. Movement with her is easy and you can tell if an attack is gonna hit or not. SF2 ate up my life and what I learned transferred. Everything just feels so easy in that game with her. I don't know how players or the game itself has evolved since, but it felt so simple. To me MKX is complex, but SFV is simple.MKX is a struggle, but not SFV.

Which Master ranked player are you again?

Lol.

I borrowed a Ps4 the first week the game was out. I played and played and was eventually getting matched with top 100 players.

It wrang a bit hollow for me. I know it sounds like tough talk and I wish I had been moved enough to want to talk tough, but it just felt easy. I'm not saying that losing isn't frustrating, but I love the struggle. Thats what moves me and it just wasn't there in most matches.
