LOL. You think I'm talking tough, but it doesn't mean the same to you as it does to me. I miss having that love. Back when it mattered to me, winning at the rate I was would have been euphoric.you must be the sickest player ever then. Cause I see hundreds of people that can't tell the frame data by looking, and I strongly disagree that it is what it looks like. Akuma f hp doesn't look plus, everyone lets Urien press buttons after a f mp, so many people misconfirm when they block ibukis overheads cause they think it's punishable etc etc. grats on being godlike. Although if you're top 100 you should probably play more and get at that 500k.

I know. Believe me. My mind just wont settle. What i want in a character changes from match to match and day to day. This is a legit problem, but if I force myself into a character.. I dunno. sigh. So here is my honest list with some small breakdownsMan pick a character and grind lol.
Rashid unsafe? I think he can play in a risk reward manor but it isn't necessary imo. I really don't think Rashid has too much of a weakness tbh. His neutral is good, his corner game is great and hes got great corner carry, you can't jump on him, you can't really zone him easily, he's got good normals and pressure. Idk I've only been playing him for 24 hours soI know. Believe me. My mind just wont settle. What i want in a character changes from match to match and day to day. This is a legit problem, but if I force myself into a character.. I dunno. sigh. So here is my honest list with some small breakdowns
Ken - Great character for me and how I like to play. Pros: High damage and pressure. Easy execution/combos. Basic gameplan. Decent neutral. Cons: Shit fireball. Very unsafe. Not as explosive/exciting as he used to be.
Karin - One of my favorite characters. Pros: Great damage and pressure. Some mixups. Amazing neutral. Good playstyle variety, lots of options. Fundamental character so learning her would improve my FG play in a universal sense. Cons: Awful health. Higher execution barrier and she is DEAD on a dropped combo, DEAD. High learning curve in general, requires strong fundamentals and very intelligent play.
Laura - Just plain looks fun/crazy/cheap. Pros: Never-ending pressure. BATSHIT damage/stun. Utterly ridiculous mixups/resets. Odd, but really good neutral. Decent health/stun Cons: I think she'll get nerfed soon, her execution isnt hard, but its.. I dunno, odd? I have trouble with it sometimes. High learning curve to play well. can be awkward.
Rashid - Super fun character that I really enjoy playing. Pros: Good health and stun. Good AA. Lots of variety in play. Good damage. Strong neutral. Somewhat 'rare' character. Cons: Very high learning curve, doesnt seem like it, but he isn't easy to play well. Very unsafe character, takes active effort and work to keep him safe while applying pressure/damage/etc.
Guile - Probably who I *should* be playing. Pros: Best zoning/fireball in the game. Incredible space control and neutral dominance. Easy execution for the most part (outside loops). Amazing AA and A2A options. Safe. Teaches fundamental play. Cons: Oddly enough, lower health/stun. Kinda boring. Thats all I got.
Balrog - More time on him than anyone else already I think. Pros: He's my anger spirit animal. Batshit damage. Batshit. Shit of bats. Good neutral. Can be crazy safe. Very straightforward game plan. Great pressure. Mixups aren't as great as people think but they still work cause people are skeert. Good health/stun. Pretty easy execution. Cons: He.. doesn't have a cross-up? I feel like he can be slightly boring since you are essentially just dash punching and TComboing until you get trigger then your trying to pop it into the two bar death combo, feels repetitive.
More to come in a bit. Also, i know no one cares, Im essentially just talking outloud to egt my own brain straight here.
Above Urien and guile?Yes. Above everyone else

Well, cr.hp is -2, st.rh is -4(? I swear i thought it was -5) which I understand, but it still sucks cause this button is amazing, you can do 400+ damage off a CC if you have two bars. Your mixers are all death on block except non-mashed light. Now, based on your post I looked it up, for some reason I thought lp mixer was -3, so you could punish, but nope -2, so I need to revise my thinking somewhat, that being safe gives him some wiggle room. But still, his little tornado mini-fireballs are -5 lk, -2 mk, +1 hk and +6 ex but if Im not mistaken, have gaps depending on what you cancel them from, etc. Eagle spikes are negative 6million but if spaced right can safe vs many characters because you bounce back so far they cant take advantage, but not vs everyone.Rashid unsafe? Im just speaking for the matches Ive watched played, since I dont play her to any degree.. but she can do so much. st.mp is an amazing AA, or her AA grab when possible. If she gets a little room and can get a fireball out she can advance behind it, jump, sweep, crossup jump, catch YOU jumping with her AA grab.. She has a great low confirm into elbow thats negative on block but safe and puts her point blank, good range on the cr.mk too. ex shoulder has armor to get her in range of her normals and when she is. st.mk is disgusting 5f startup deceptive range, combos into jab into light elbow which starts her silliness (+2), Its -2ob according to my phone app but I see her spam the shit out of it and no one ever seems to challenge. st.lk is +3 ob, so is st.mp. St.hk has great range and is an excellent, straightforward CC button.. She has one of the highest damage, practical whiff punish normals in the game in F.HP, you can react with it to punish whiffed normals from a pretty crazy distance, hit confirm it into itself for the TC and end with her AA grab for like either 265 or 285 damage. Its a lot for the range and utility. Her OH is slow as christmas, but in trigger its like .. +1? and has great range and will CC. Her command dashes are amazing for baiting and couple that with her f.hp and its super dangerous, couple it with the fact she gets meaty pressure off of literally everything she has that can knock you down.. and you have a character who doesnt *want* to play neutral but still has a tool for almost any range or situation and numerous ways in to her kill zone.I honestly thought Laura struggled in neutral.,
Agreed, but sometimes just raw fun isnt that successful.. I know that sounds dumb but hear me out. As an example, I played, I dunno, 3? ft5s vs @FL Rushdown a day or three ago and I picked Ryu. I had meant to go in and really try, but then I started enjoying myself and just fucking-off. What came of that was a clean sweep all 3 sets, where I managed to take something like 2 rounds the whole time. I had a ton of fun, but that was at the expense of really 'trying'. I spent more than one entire round trying to do nothing but throw, for instance. 3-4-5-6 DPs in neutral back to back, just silly shit. I enjoyed myself, but I wasn't taking things seriously. If Im buckling down and really trying to learn then most characters in my list are about the same in terms of how much I enjoy them in a serious environment. You think Guile is boring?? =O
Sounds like you should just play Rashid and pocket Ken or Karin. Perhaps I would empathize with your character crisis more if you didn't readily admit to having fun with a few of them. Just choose from that small pool and go.
That either sounds like a terrible idea or a bad tongue-in-cheek joke.Maybe I should just eat half a bottle of adderal and FOCUS on the character sheet for 36hours and whoever I burn the biggest hole through, I'll keep.
I wasn't telling you to play for fun. I was just saying that I struggle to understand why you're having issues selecting a main when you actually have a pool of characters you enjoy and can already play to some extent. You just sound uninspired to me.Agreed, but sometimes just raw fun isnt that successful.. I know that sounds dumb but hear me out. As to Guile, I said kinda boring, and what I really mean is that one Guile match is much like the next.. Which I guess can be said of most characters if you boil it down enough, but sometimes his straight forwardness is a boon and sometimes its not. That's all I mean really.
Also, you are very correct. I should probably main Rashid and pocket Karin or Ken (or in my thinking Guile). I just cant decide. I absolutely shouldn't even pick two characters, let alone three but my idiot mind is torn between wanting Karin in there somewhere, wanting Rashid in there somewhere and wanting Guile in there somewhere. lol.

What's your problem with playing multiple characters? I mean it doesn't sound like you're devoting much time to just one as it is anyway.
If you are still in range, yes you should be able to I believeIf s normal is +3 on block or hit can it follow up with another normal that has a 3 frame startup?
It's just a joke. I'd only ever take a quarter of a bottle.. at most. That either sounds like a terrible idea or a bad tongue-in-cheek joke.
Yep. Example is kens jab is +5 on hit and it combos with chin buster which has 5 frame start up.If s normal is +3 on block or hit can it follow up with another normal that has a 3 frame startup?
I'll play a few. I'll be on in the next 15 minutes@freerf245 U on for some games?
k cool if you want you can just send me a invite or post here CFN: Smeg_DisI'll play a few. I'll be on in the next 15 minutes
Do you also think she's also too hard to fight for a majority of the cast? How would you fix it?Yes. Above everyone else
