playing Urien since s1 (was in Gold with Necalli), i don't think low fwd/st. fierce will get you any higher than Super Gold, same thing with Necalli st. Roundhouse, is good on the lower ranks, once i got there, people started to punish my dumb shit... kek

They better do something. With all the other fighting games coming out this year, SFV is looking kind of meh. The S2 patch was supposed to get rid of the top tier's BS but instead we just got a new set of top tiers with new BS.

Should have left top tiers as they were and buff low mid tiers like Capcom said they would. Also fix loading screens that still take ages.
Also for any Akuma players, f.HP is safe on block and also plus right? As in you can combo if it hits?

It's plus 1 on block so you can jab check every time. On regular hit you can combo into jab/lk xx tatsu combos. On counter hit you can combo into back heavy punch or st mk combos.

Yeah but seeing as all the other options for your fight money spending sprees are useless(they're not akuma, and are therefore incapable of using the raging demon while shouting isshun sengeki) you should buy him.

Trust me. If you parry a poke and punish someone with a demon you'll feel so godlike you won't even miss the money(just make sure you ignore the 3 rounds you lost fishing for that demon).

I don't think that's the right mentality. I definitely think Characters still NEED tuning on both ends of the tiers. But it isn't right to look at it like "new set of BS". Since there's always going to be a "top set of BS". Imo, if you can't say that about the game it probably isn't fun. I don't know of a fighter that isn't played and enjoyed that doesn't have some BS everyone always mentions (SF4 vortex, tekken mishima, Marvel everything, NRS something). I think capcom just needs to add more crazy.

So yeah I was goofing off with demon setups in the lab today and I found out you can still Kara cancel to get the range boost as long as you use his v skill + kick to cancel, it's slight but very relevant. You can do an unjumpable demon from a range you normally can't hit from. So you can do things like jab jab into demon and hit them on block(you have to leave a gap after the second jab though it's an unreactable amount of frames). You can do it fast enough that the kick won't hit people stand blocking.

Fastest input I got for it is mk + 3p x 2 then the f, lk, hp. Could make a vid if anyone cares but that's unlikely since it's tech.

It's not really a mentality, it's just the truth. They took away a bunch of dumb stuff but then just gave other characters dumb stuff. It was a poor balance patch in that regard. Everybody just wants to play a more balanced neutral-heavy game.

I do enjoy the game to some extent, but I disagree with their balancing method at this time.
