So I was playing against a zangief today, and after every jump in I did he just blocked and did SPD, every single time, what the hell man? Ain't I supposed to be plus on a blocked jump in and continue my attack?

Man you crack me up. I've agreed with you that F.A.N.G. needs help and always seems to be against the meta of the current game. I've stated I hate LP anti airs and want more thought in the AA game. Just because I don't make every post about how unbearable SF is and how I have no fun playing a low tier doesn't mean I love everything about SFV.

I can enjoy F.A.N.G. and Juri even though I struggle to win. And if S2 Mika isn't fun anymore I'll stop playing her. Same way I really like playing Bison and Balrog but find them too hard/boring to have fun.

Myles I just want to be your friend man. I think I'm the only one who tolerates you without calling you names and questioning your skill. Why are you attacking me man? Deep down we both know every poet just wants to be loved.

Well your functional frame advantage is based on how high/ low in the jump they block. Once they block the frames count down, not when you land, so if they block and your (just throwing out numbers) +6 but if it takes you 3 more frames to land and begin your normal then you're only at effectively +3. So landing some jump-in super high can leave you negative by the time you land.

If he was doing SPD after a blocked jump-in bait him out next time. Jump in and id he blocks it just hold up. He'll whiff.the SPD when you neutral jump and you get your full jump-in combo. Any player paying attention is going to stop risking it after that happens once or twice.

Yeah I checked. Gief can't even cancel into ca after a Laura jump hp/hk into st mp. So either you're hitting your jump attack early(in this case it'd have to be so early it'd be obvious) or your mp too late.

Yea I was playing against a guy named Itabashi Zangief or something like that

Yea I think I was doing both, hitting the fierce too early in the jump in and also waiting to land to do the next punch like you do in mkx. Thanks guys.

It was so off putting how NRS made jump ins baby mode. Out of all the places fighting games would try to hand hold I would've never guessed jump ins.

I watched Vesper Arcade's video on some characters changes and if these Guile changes are true im liking most of them. We do lose the hypest thing in the game but i couldn't do the loop anyway so im not that mad.

She definitely isn't +1 off her V-reversal :s but hopefully she is in Season 2

"Punishable on a read" just means she can be thrown out of the animation, but that's not a weakness of Mika's. That's just a general mechanic of v-reversals. In fact, every move in the game is "punishable on a read" so it's kind of a silly and redundant thing to say.

I wonder which Guile god suggested that buff in this very thread and what certain bumdown challenged me on that too. seriously is anyone keeping score how many times this guy has been wrong if this turns out to be true I'd love to see stats
