Again nope. TKP has a 14f startup so he will have time to block after a tele. The only way i can punish it is by doing either a low poke or a 12 TKS.

Good stuff. I've been tinkering around with Raiden and in a way this helps. I usually stick to pokes and f24 unless I can punish something. Raiden has the tools to be top, but most players are unsafe with him.

On another note, where can I find the frame data for characters? It would be nice to know which strings I can poke out of.

I'm not overly familiar w noob's frame data but a 10 frame or less starter should work

I'm thinking tackle works and up shadow but that's just me thinking and not trying it yet

Reptile dash is the easy answer to Raidens teleport. Or I just 321 punish it for full combo if I really expect it @Claude VonStrok can confirm this.

Throwing him always works too since all throws are 10f.

Your best bet is what I'll tell Osu 16 Bit

Anticipate it and on reaction jump over him for a jip on block and do your highest chip/meter building string


I think kit can get like 10-12%? maybe I'm wrong about that or JIP string/throw mix up

And I concur that the punishes definitely work online, which is a big deal considering how eggs-over-ass he is online to begin with.

Pig Of The Hut: My man if TKP had a 10f startup i would be a happy man. I ve known i could punish Raiden's tp on reaction since i was playing against Nivek's Raiden with 12 to lift its just really hard to do cause its a just frame punish. The best thing i have found to punish it is either down poke or a throw (Ermac's throw is 10f).

Good stuff. It's all pretty simple. Just have good reactions and you can punish teleport. This is just naked teleport though. I think it's pretty well known that no Raiden should just naked teleport to get in. Especially if they are just sitting there blocking.

What about teleport in the middle of strings? I can teleport off of certain strings and end up at only -3 so if you try to time a special I can block it and blow you up.

Yes an off a ex dash you get 23% which means full punish

Reptile should NEVER dash raiden mid screen because on blOck you will get hurt w a nice 40% easy punish

Play a shitload of raidens at mlg...I did well against them but wasn't brave enough to interior strings with dash

Its been known for a while it us punishable. The hard part on tele is knowing when its coming in. Good raidens are not as easy to tele punish for that reason. But yeah his teleport. Even online isn't hard to punish

I don't know how you can say he isn't top tier based off of being able to blow up an offensive teleport. What about defensive teleports where you get full meterless combo'd? I don't think anyone has really argued that you can't blow up a naked teleport. The problem with raiden is that he can teleport in between moves that other characters can't poke out of. Sure other characters can armor in those gaps too, but that uses meter and Raiden doesn't have to.

Sorry I'm a naysayer. Don't get me wrong, this video is awesome and very helpful. But I don't agree with the statement that he isn't top tier.
