I already currently use these combos. What we need to find is a meter less combo going to safe clone set up off B2 that does decent damage. The old B2 combo works fine as long as the opponent delays the wake up or we hit them later in the clone trap, but having a good combo that allows us to reset the situation for no meter is crucial.@Tom Brady @Qwark28
I'll have to test it, but a couple ideas come to mind -
after a grounded freeze in the corner, using the combo route:
jip, 242, njp, fj1, bj1, f12, clone.
This leaves the clone close enough to the opponent that you can do an untechable back throw (which resets into a ground freeze), and also close enough that when you connect with b2, they immediately pop up into the clone and freeze, allowing you to follow-up with:
njp, fj1, bj1, f12, clone - same setup.
You can also go for a low option with:
b33~ex ice smash, b2, 1, d1, b12~clone, njp, bj1, f12, babystep back, clone - which sets up the same situation. alternatively,
b33~ice ball, ji2, 242, njp, fj1, bj1, f12, clone.
This corner loop works regardless of the changes (i just need to make sure b33~ex ice smash gives enough time in the combo to clone after b2, 1, d1, b12 - I can't test right now, but I'm pretty sure it does.)
If we adjust to using this loop instead, then we only need to spend meter if we hit with B2 after a BNB ending in Slide, Clone (which will be spaced further away) - and that's only to /start/ the loop, not to keep it going - which seems fair. Interested in hearing your thoughts on this.
What adjustments do you recommend for sz so far? Only thing to do is look forward and figure out how to adapt to the changeI'll deal with this just fine.
Maybe that's because people "cry" about things the developers themselves also realized are ridiculous.I love MK, but the nerfs are targeted at what people seem to cry about. Every. Single. Time. Kung Jin still has big damage, a high/low starter, and can still be played the way he's designed. Sub's strength is his corner carry. Why give him that corner carry and smaller mid screen combos if he's not meant to lock you in the corner? I would much rather see the game breathe before these nerfs start. It happened to a few now.. Your main is next.

I think it's around 27-29% (again, can't go test it but that seems like about it.)

Obviously, I can't speak for every character, but a lot of them could get through Sub's shenanigans. Using Mileena you could punish Sub while in the corner. Even with a clone out you could Ball Roll through it to punish a blocked b2 and b33 attempt. Playing the MU is boring, but there were ways around his corner pressure.
