has anyone made a tier list that ranks every single variation in the game best to worst? Don't believe I've seen that yet

Beautiful layout.

Seems accurate enough, while there are obviously stronger characters(there will always be), this game sure has a very good amount of characters that can succeed, if NRS do things right in the Next KP patches, this can be even better.

My observations of the S tier are as follows:
  • Cassie Cage - Rushdown/mixup.
  • Kung Lao - Rushdown/pressure.
  • Predator - Zoner/mixup.
  • Quan Chi - Zoner/vortex.
  • Shinnok - Space Control/vortex.
  • Tanya - Rushdown/pressure.
  • Tremor - I don't really know.
This gives us an S tier composed of 3 rushdown characters, 2 zoners, 1 space control and 1 that I'm not sure about.

MKX has a strong variety of play styles among the S tier and appears to be very well balanced considering the size of the A tier relative to the roster.

I think the A tier characters should be split into an A+ and an A tier list. This is what it would look like based on the characters currently in A tier IMO (Alphabetical Order):

I agree with the placement of the variations I use. Besides, I think a tier list should be made with variations instead of characters, to avoid confusion. After all, it doesn't matter if Y variation covers X's bad match-up, since in a tournament setting, switching variation is like switching character, and you'd have to lab variations separately (I don't know anything about Ninjutsu, for instance, but I have played Hellfire and Inferno in the past). It's as if this game didn't have 29, but 29 x 3 characters. Since YOMI has a good portion of MKX top players in it, I think it'd be great if you guys took the time to make such a list.

Kung Jin is definitely A+. Reptile most likely, too.

Edit: I actually like the list, though. Originally we had S, S-, A+, A, A-, B+, B, and C but thought that was too much and cut most of it down, lol.

It's probably close to the same way for how you would play against Cassie with EX flip up close. TBH, they're both pretty stupid moves and I don't think they should be safe on block but it is MKX and every character has their dirt so it's fine in the grand scheme of things. Goro was just designed to be amazing up close.
