MORTAL KOMBAT 11: AFTERMATH (FUJIN, SHEEVA, ROBOCOP) CONFIRMED

Those of you saying RoboCop doesn't make sense in a Mortal Kombat game
well, he's a guest character. Do they ever have to make sense? lol. But I agree, I think he fits fine.

But speaking of "guest", "DLC", "expansion"... So, DLC chars and Tower endings have never been canon, due to Story Mode being the only canon. So this looks to be canon now, since it's a continuation of the Story Mode. I'm presuming RoboCop isn't in the new Story. But Sindel is. And does seem to act different. Will they right the ship for her and make her previously likeable character as canon?

I can only hope they are never in a game ever again cause whats the point when the superior cybernetic fighting robot ROBOCOP has appeared???????
xd so awesum

i hope D00M SLAYER cumz in next! hold on Doom is too relevant right now... uh, um... OH! JUDGE DREDD! Oh! Oh! DUKE NUKEM!!! Or wat aboot THE CROWWWW????

I was born in '82, Robocop and his "Dead or alive, you're coming with me!" speech is as iconic as Arnold's "Albibeck" and it's awesome.
The first Robocop was extremely sad and violent, with a lot of '80 cheesy stuff in it.
It was so cool.

But that doesn't mean that Robocop, Terminator, Itchy and Scratchy, Happy Tree Friends or whatever lunatic with a gun, knife and murdering attitude fit in Mortal Kombat.
MK is not all about hyper violence and has is own identity.
So, we have guest, it's ok, but stop saying that "X" fit perfectly in MK because is mad violent.
Because, it's not.

Beside that, we all know why Robocop is here.
The official sequel of the first Robocop movie is coming and probably distributed by Warner Bros.
It's all about business and marketing.
I agree that the game would be better without guests. All I'm saying is that guests are inevitable, and if we're going to have them, Robocop is an excellent choice. And I would say that yes, being associated with hyper violence should be a requirement to be considered for a guest spot in an MK game, since the blood, violence, and fatalities are what has always set the series apart from other games like Street Fighter. That's why we'll never see guests like Batman, because even though he's associated with violence, they're never going to show him mutilitating someone or getting mutilated, himself.

Nah. Why did they bother returning the ASH folder back to the game files along with ROB, FUJ and SHE? Guy's in.
Yeah he is definitely in. He is gonna be part of KP2 I am 100% sure. They even listed his name in in-game shop back when they released full KP. This is just a DLC that wraps up first part of content. In month or month and a half from Aftermath KP2 will probably be announced.

Friendships/Stage Fatalities are nice to have back, but there's nothing spoken about any big gameplay changes and the 3 new characters are coma inducing.

24 hours ago you'd read people not want Robocop at all, praying "ROB" meant "ROBOTS" for Cyrax/Sektor but now that he's confirmed it's magically great and awesome and ep1c. Same shit happened with Joker when he was leaked for KP1 and there's still the looming possibility of Ash down the line.

Dear God, I just want good MK characters that make me look at the roster screen and get me excited to play.
I hate Robocop. He's a trash tier bucketheaded fuck that will bring nothing of value to MK11, and it's a sign that NRS are really scraping the bottom of the barrel for guest characters. I would MUCH rather have Cyrax and Sektor, and I still think it's criminal that NRS went on record before release saying that there'll be no characters that you fight against in the story mode who you won't be able to play as.

Yet, I am still hyped as fuck for Aftermath. I've just laid down my pre order.

Things aren't so black and white, people aren't a hivemind where they all have the same opinions. People can be hyped about some elements, whilst also being disappointed with others. This isn't hard to comprehend.

With this in mind, I'm perfect as a guest character, because I can, potentially, mutilate someone and be mutilated myself, in a ultra-violent fashion.
Just give me a Joker outfit and I became iconic as well.

Listen, no one, EVER, and literally, NO ONE, is good as guest in MK.
I'm glad that someone can have his favorite character in his favorite game, but that doesn't mean that it fit in the MK universe.

Are you part of an estabilished franchise and loved by millions?

Thought not. Shit logic.

I hate guest characters, but your logic is so flawed.

I literally have no words for that argument. Congratulations.

[edit] I suppose if was going to argue with that logic, I would just say that I never said ultra violence was the only requirement. A guest obviously needs to be a notable figure in pop culture.

Yes, we get it — you’re a miserable wretch who hates everything. Why are you even here? Go away.
Wtf are you talking about? I hope MK11 gets more epic crossovers from 30 year old decomposed franchises. Nothing excites me more when I play a Mortal Kombat game and I see instead of some dumb shit like Smoke or Ermac (lol who wants those GEEKS) the majestic and amazing characters of yesteryear like Pumpkinhead and Skeletor. Shit, maybe they can get out the shovel and try to unearth hypelord franchises like VR Rangers.

I hate Robocop.

I tried to throw a yo-yo away. It was impossible.

Yep. For example, I'm hype but still disappointed there is no Takeda, so far no confirmation that Sting will accompany RoboCop, and no Ash and I get bummed out that it's a possibility, if you believe some of the leaks, that he may not be coming at all now.

I'm excited for the new story (and the fact that a fighting game is getting story dlc) and the new characters. Fujin and sheeva look great. Give me more people who like to throw people and I'm probably going to be happy.

I agree with you. Except with the roasting of Robocop, because I actually like his original movie and all. I just don't like him in my Mortal Kombat. But aside from this general thread where I'd only complain that it seems like I cannot pre-order this without him, you won't see me going to shit on his thread or attacking people because they like him.

Sheeva is nowhere near a favourite of mine, but she's an MK character and I respect that. I'm interested to see what have they done with her playstyle and all.

People getting SO ANGRY about these things... just get over it.

I'm happy for Fujin, more stages, stage fatalities, friendships, even for the extra story chapters. The story could still be trash, but I cannot deny the quality of the cutscenes and seeing all the characters doing their things it's okay. I watch the MK movies from time to time.

I have all this to be excited about and spend the next couple of weeks playing and talking about it. Why would I waste my time trying to offend/troll the fans of a guest character.
