If they would just fix the whiffing on his forceballs id be a happy camper. But it’s pretty pointless wishing for adjustments. NRS has the weirdest balancing I’ve ever seen. Side question, how do y’all handle the Shang MU as Johnny ?

I just love how people say Cage never needed any nerfs. But even after his nerfs he's still fucking super good and can literally just do whatever he wants with no meter all game.

I'm discussing Cage. In a forum titled... Johnny Cage General Discussion. Why is every TYM user's BIG GOTTEM TACTIC: "iS tHiS tHe ToPic oF tHe oF tHe FoRuM??". TYM flowchart ass... smh

Sidenote, if Cage's whiffing "issues" were fixed he'd easily be the best character in the game and it wouldn't even be close.

Well there's the fact that he has no good Armour break hurts him and as a character, buffs for others and his whole being really dependent on making foes stand to make up for his lack of OH's and quick mids others up top have. The whiffing issues are a mess since shit that should land doesn't and this fucks many MU's up because if they know of his issues many female and Raiden/Kabal and Erron? can outright render Showstopper null.

Nearly every character can get counterpicked. Advocating for an insane level of buffs based off of just counterpicks isn't good game design. That's like saying... Well, Kano gets beat by zoners clean so we need to give him a teleport. Everyone JC downplayer always whines about whiffs but absolutely cannot and refuses to acknowledge how good he is when he's playing against a character he doesn't whiff on. Also, you don't need a great armor breaker when you already had and have had an insane unbreakable damage FB combo/mixup. Something reinforced by Joker, who also doesn't have the best armor breaker ever but yknow... they both don't need it when you have a cancellable FB that does nuts damage.
Again. If Cage didn't whiff against certain members of the cast he'd be top 1 or at the LEAST top 2.

You resurrected a months old forum thread to make hilariously bad complaints and comparisons because you got OUTPLAYED get over it dude and get better it’s obvious that what you are saying is coming from a place of salt it’s not some new “hot take” that people just aren’t admitting to.

If you can’t compete against Johnny as Kano that says a lot more about you than it does us.

Anyways @Wigy is right no need to even indulge in this anymore, the fact that you implied all of his whiffing is intentional tells me all I need to know.

Anyways, it's been fun. I actually came to this thread for a legitimate discussion but as soon as anyone mentions absolutely anything critical about JC (the fact that he has insane options with 0 meter, insane safe options is a legitimate critique to be discussed...) its like a fuckin' nervous tick that y'all go straight into immediate downplay mode and refuse to have a honest conversation about how strong JC really is (Top 5, still easily AF).

Bro u are coming around here complaining while saying whiffing issues are intentional balance decisions. I suppose old man Shang has some balance differences from young man Shang as those two skins have different hurtboxes and whiffing issues (since last time I checked anyway).
