Ask me about my Mileena agenda.
Literally the only gear piece I need right now is her solid color mask with the human lips (Murugran Empress). I have the version that's white with colored accents, but it ain't vibin' with me and I sure as hell ain't gonna tackle the shitstorm of Kustom KL without my fashion game bein' on point.

That said, this right here is my favorite skin in the game free. The more I look at it, the more things I find to love about the design. #Midriffs4Life, y'all:



Even better that it's the exact skin I was hoping she'd have, and I didn't even need to glance in Kombat League's direction!!!
Shit, I'd go through ten seasons of KL if it meant unlocking this skin in black & silver:

How’d you get the pink mask? It’s only labelled as ??? in the gear page.

I completed her character towers and I was doing the 6th stage with the Jensei augments and it was just one of the random gear drops!

So I've started on Mileena now, and... did they give her a little more booty than Kitana? Or is it just because she sticks it out more and wear the panties?

Pretty sure all of the females (with the obvious exception of Sheeva) have the same bodies. The way Skarlet & Mileena pose definitely adds a little more volume to theirs, though.

On a more serious note, does anybody know how I can accurately count the number of frames it takes for a move to come out? I want to see how fast DashxxB1 is and compare it to the likes of her F4 and B2. I'm theory-crafting up the ass over here and I need some numbers to see if what I have in mind is viable or not.

I think Skarlet looks overall thiccer, but Sindel with a larger chest. Maybe it's just optical illusions, playing with costume design and fabrics, I dunno. Different body types are welcome though, however, considering Kitana and Mileena are supposed to look exactly alike from the neck down, it looked kinda noticable... especially because Kitana's glutes are kinda flat.

does anybody know how I can accurately count the number of frames it takes for a move to come out?
The best way would be to fight a local match against P2, do what you want, and then watch the replay, turn on your buttons, and count the step frames. I just did it against the AI to see how the replay function worked and it usually hit between frames 21-23.

I wasn’t playing the best (usually play on hitbox), and this god damn Kitana AI wouldn't sit still, so I’ll try a bit later with an actual dummy P2 and my hitbox.

Side note: why does every fighting game allow for step frame forward views but never backwards?

Alright so dumb noob questions here

I am struggling to make use of her B1 mid..like, at all.
Also I'm having trouble hit confirming anything in space. Her F1 string doesn't allow hit confirming into specials??? That feels just so wrong to me.
F4 is an easy hitconfirm string, but what are her others in neutral?
I'm guessing S11 is her standard punish string, but I for me she's lacking strings to hitconfirm with. The F1 string thing blows my mind as it feels like her best whiff punisher in neutral

Alright, that was about the speed I predicted. Thanks. I'm basically trying to get some synergy going between her F1, her B1 and her Cmd. Grab.

Her F1 is fast as fuck boi, reaches far, and leaves you 0 on block, and you have a 7 frame poke to try and steal turns back with. On hit, even if you don't go into a combo, you're still point blank at +14, so now it's a guess between a jailing B1 or her Cmd. Grab that puts you back in that exact same guessing game.

The reason why I wanted to see if DashxxB1 is viable or not is to see if it can catch people neutral ducking to avoid the F1. 20+ frames could be sketchy against players with better reactions, but I'm still seeing people get caught by her B2, so that can be anybody's guess.

That's what I'm trying to make work, at least. Not sure if it will or not.

233 is a decent string if you’re close. B1 works well, but you either have to be on their toes, or cancel into it from a dash.

I also like F2 and B3, but you have to cancel off the one hit and it’s not confirmable, but since they’re both lows, you can confirm that they’re standing as the move is coming out and go for it. it takes a bit of practice though... Also, despite F2 being slower, to me, it looks like F2 would be harder to react to, whereas B3 looks obvious early in its startup.
 
lots of handwringing over B1's range, I don't think it's that big a deal. abuse f1 and it's no issue. or instead of a 10f mid, think of it as a 15f mid and dash cancel into it.

random Mileena-ness that I enjoy:
foxygrampa killed a guy in 3 rounds with 31 command grabs last night. I play people who would kill their family to win a round but this guy let it happen. kung lao into a sub zero so he deserved it IMO.

I had previously been on the straight saw train because of the safety but TBH people are having a tough time punishing the low said amp after strings so maybe it's worth it for the neutral control. Navigating Mileena's range is a lot less of an issue if they are forced to come to you.

I'm also close to giving up on sliding sai. It's a ton of fun, great for ending rounds, the KB is great and there's a ton of other benefits, but I'm extremely lame. I love safety. and sliding sai just leaves you exposed quite a bit.

honestly I think Mileena is strong with any of her abilities and the only required one is the cmd grab. I am gonna spend some time today messing around with the enhanced ball and see if it's worth using.
