I keep seeing DD forums are downplayers and I just don't see it. most of the DD downplayers are from everyone else. It seems the majority DD main's understand exactly what sort of character he is and how he fits into the game. I remember one of the pod cast's where top players were calling out bad Character forums, they praised the DD forums for being of the few level-headed ones.

Maybe, I've missed a few post. But any downplaying has been from other character main's, who think simply becuase they have learned to forward dash supernova and can block earth shaker, and since DD is only based around gimmicks he is going to drop. That is not true.

I would say yes either 6-4, or 6.5-3.5 range. I don't see it being as bad as Grundy though which I believe to be 7-3.

grundy is not 8 2 because of 1 touch equaling half life minimum, DD has not even have that.

Hes not as bad as the others
Now the Downplaying for Gl is stealthy they dont make a lot off stupid thread titles like the others, but they make Stupid Complaints and Suggestions in the forums
like Damage Too low, walk speed to slow, F3 doesn't have enough range, i dont wanna quote people but its being said, its the Denial that hes Top tier that makes the downplaying so bad, for Christ sake this man is the answer to both BA and SM (Debatable)

The reason I think dd isn't as bad is because once he gets on a roll it's hard to stop him unless you are superman. Which is why he doesn't do big damage.

pushblock kills momentum, i guarantee you BA will have more meter and will be perfectly comfortable trading it with DD

also, if youy play vs doomsday a lot you will almost never get hit by shakes, ever.

You can stuff wake up attacks buy reversing a persons inputs. DD does it with his dash. GL can do it w/ B1 off a hard knock down. Flash can do it in the corner. I think Batgirl and Harley can do it w/ Cartwheels. Like literally 3/4ths of the cast can do it in some way.

These are fair points, but still has armor that you have to deal with. He doesn't need a lot of meter once he is in and he builds it really fast. Idk, maybe I need to play the MU more.

block a shake and suddenly his options are walk forward D1 special or venom again, you have multiple answers for both those options.

doomsday does not do much damage and does not get in without meter

he has armour you gotta deal with only from a particular range

he has just about every tool you have to deal with


doomsday suddenly becomes much easier to fight when you lose the " doomsday pressure machine, im fucked HALP" mentality, hes not the monster everyone thinks he is when they dont know the matchup or know it but are still afraid of him

taking an exampl from sabin, respect your opponent but dont fear them

No Im not Zyphox, i don't post my tech everywhere so everyone knows my setups...

He has a dirty dirty little trick in the corner. If he doesn't negate your wakeup completely, he makes it go the other way, it's all about the timing. People say Flash, Supes and DD have the best corner games...they have no idea how OP black adam is in that regard.

Tried it with KF and 4/10 out of the it changed direction, the other 6 times it negated the wakeup completely.
