Thoughts:
1. It's like a Hyper Fighting/Turbo Edition version of Smash 4. It looks very similar but they updated enough where you can't really call it a port.
2. EVERY fighter, from our boy Roy to Pichu. SNAAAKKKKKEEEEEEEEE
3. They added battlefield stages on top of omega stages, giving more variety to the competitive side of the game. They talked about all Omega/Battlefield stages being uniform, I hope that's true as it didn't seem like it in Smash 4.(Edges of screen seemed to vary for example.)
4. Seems like they made a lot of changes to characters and fine tuning stuff like attacks in 1v1 doing more damage. Air dodges have increased recovery the more you use them. Here's hoping changes like this make for tighter gameplay then Smash 4, personally I felt like it was way too hard to kill people in 4 compared to the older games. Too much evasiveness, screen size too big, etc. The 1v1 damage change might help this out.
5. Seems like they are attempting to balance final smashes a bit, or perhaps it's an optimization thing where it's easier for them to do traditional super-esque animations rather then turning into a controllable Giga Bowser for example.
5. The squid kids as a new character and Daisy as a new clone. Neat.
6. FUCKING RIDLEY, META FUCKING RIDLEY
7. I heard new tunes in there, please for the love of all that is Kirby keep adding more and more music. Smash 4 recycled a lot of music from Brawl and despite having some awesome tracks it felt a bit lackluster.
8. Needs more K. Rool
9. Buff Jigglypuff
10. Overall I'm pretty excited which I'm surprised about as I expected a straight port + Squid Kids of Smash 4(my least favorite Smash game) but it seems like they are serious about improving the gameplay so I'm hype for it.
11. Did I mention they added Ridley?
