Tested the orb counter setup. Works almost against the 2/3 of the cast. A very selected few, like Vatista, Aegis and Nu will pose a serious problem to Makoto. Aegis is legit OP zoner.

Vatista is legit broken as a zoner. Make the dummy to do all the specials, even the overdrives, and just do a 236A as Vatista. You'll see what do I mean.

Sure. I don't mind playing you, however, the issue is the connection. I played against 3 people with, like, 180ms. Like I have played against a Hawanese dude.

Does Tager struggle to get in as much in BBtag as he does in cf and such? Not doubting you at all, just wondering, the way the game's assist system works I thought grapplers may get around that age-old problem lol

Assists help with my approach but also help my opponent with keeping me away. Ultimately the assists cancel each other out and place me in the same old grappler situation. Solo Tager vs two characters is a grind but the path Ive chosen.

Who do you partner Tager with? I go Aegis/Tager myself, I think she helps make up for some of his shortcomings. She can zone well enough and has good mobility so I keep in the front the build me some meter and chip away. Most of the time I end up switching through the combo breaker so Tager when Tager is up close anyway. And then he hopefully has a bunch of meter to do metered command grabs and Spark Bolts.

I don't know a ton about the Vatista matchup but I know that Tager can punish her Beam Super from full screen with Spark Bolt.

Vatista beam is punishable on block but her other normal projectiles and multi hitting normal give Tager issues.

She can be, but you can most def get in on her. Im trying NOT to be a cheap ass online, buuuuut i wanna win hahaah. Sometimes i be zoning somebody so badly, i actually feel sorry....then my Vatista is dead....sooo fuck that. I play to win biiiiiitch

BUT I WILL SAY, her combos are fucking SICK! It actually takes skill and timing to pull her damaging combos off up close. She's not just a zoner, but an effective combo monster! With that reverse beat mechanic (which i found out ALL UNIS characters have) you can come up with some creative shit.

RIGHTEOUS! Those were some fun ass games, especially since my Black ass was pre-gaming getting ready for the night, so i didnt have alot of time to play. BUT DAAAAMN I need to learn how to fight Tager because i have NO IDEA how to approach that muthafucka with his magnets n shit!

Games in GG are getting harder to find by the day for someone like me, a beginner. Probably moving to bbtag. So actual team choice decision time.

Ruby is broke by all accounts, but I love her teleport/dash stuff.. so.. lol.

Thinking Ruby/Blake as my main team, and I'll probably run a secondary team for no other reason than I like lots of chsrarchar.


Edit, further thoughts: Es. Loved this char from BBCF.

I am going to genuinely try to pick at least one character that isn't widely thought to be brizoke. Jubei is an option.

Yeah. I've tried to get games a few times now with zero luck. The night you and Zach sent me the invites my connection was being a douche and it dc'd me and lagged to hell, so I gave up.

But yeah, bbtag is the new anime hawtness and it's consolidating the GG and bb communities - at least partially - under one game, while pulling in anime fans from all over. It's just the "smart" choice right now in quality of life terms (fast to find games, broad skill range of players, doesn't take a PHD in whatever character to accomplish more than the very basics, etc.)

We have a lobby every night around midnight EST with usually quite a few people in it so anytime jump in.

Yeah Tag is interesting its the anime fighter version of DBFZ. Its okay but i havent gotten really into it yet.
