Went 14-54 against a NW offline. WHAT DO I DO?
Counter everything in escrima stance with parry. Except Flip Kick, for what ever reason. Punish Wingdings attempts with Air Zod Charge. Nightwing players also have a habit of charging ground sparks, when you see this, Zod Charge can beat it before the projectile releases if you're fast enough.

In staff stance if NW gets in, it's an uphill battle for Zod. Push block and then you can keep him in check with Phantom Strike, more so than most characters. After connecting with PS, MB and summon trait to jail him down or slow IAZB and summon trait.

Respect that everything NW has is safe or plus frames, instead seek out the whiff punishes. You win in the air and at full screen, he wins up close. Try to keep him there.
 
Nightwing isn't that hard imo but I also usually pick cyborg against nw

Just don't get bodied trying to zone when he has the staff out and he's groundspiking

Everything said above I agree w except I don't think staff is that big of a deal.

I haven't found any NW that block my trait rush down stuff yet or far laser dash cancel mix ups

I need to go watch your NW video now

I play the matchup better now as opposed to this video, but just for reference.


- I can now properly block the staff ji2/ji2 to overhead
- Ive been more patient on dealing with staff ground slam
- this video was before I started applying the 4,f2,d4/ laser dash cancel mixups so its pretty sucky.

MAIN PROBLEM i have right now is finding holes in where I can insert the d12 xx combos. He seems to be safe on almost everything.

The 3 in b123 is actually a mid unless you were referring to something else
It does look like it would be an overhead though (should be)

Also when waiting on trait regeneration please remember to slow pace of match down w your meter

Side arm delay shots
Air MB ZOD balls slow
Iazb to Intractable
Throws off of ji3 blocked
Push block

Buy yourself regen time

After d1 staff parry instantly , u will beat out d1,f1, sword spin, b2

U will lose to d1 pound but make them respect u by landing a parry

Ji123 w staff I'd personally backdash and then ZC out to get space or w trait f him up

I promise this week or mext after the beach trip ill try and play NW players and record

Im pretty sure you cant 3 frame parry a +5 on block d1. Ive been trying to parry but no bueno.
 
If anyone can beat wound cowboy ft10 with zod I will be insanely impressed
You literally cannot do anything ever with zod against the way he plays

So fucking frustrating honestly
I can beat people who play every character but I basically auto lose against good sinestro players

Sinestro is just as 7-3 as cyborg fuck this
I feel like I have to relearn batgirl for this 1 matchup
I practice with P2W and the match seems even. When you block shackles and boulder, you get risk-free trait activation. Then if the Sinestro player is careless enough to do either special move, bite is guaranteed on block. You can also punish mid range fear blasts with instant aerial charge, which is something that I have been working on.

Rush her I think. Aren't Batgirl's limbs even worse than Zod's? And with that teleport grab around, zoning to get trait out is difficult.
