Its not that the just frame TP is faster, its just that air TP is faster than a grounded one.

Same thing with Sektors TP as well.

Ermac's too but the difference is less noticeable.

it being faster this way makes little sense to me... you would think it would be the other way around but very interesting to say the least. Very nice work

Yea, for all intencive purposes, you should never do a ground TP, you should always do an instant air TP since its faster and harder to react to. Same with Sektor.

Only time you should do a grounded TP is for using it as a wake-up move.

slips since you and check are the known for the best scorps I will inform you of this new tech i just found.

Do a just frame teleport after an NJP. as you all know, NJP can be used as anti air and hits overhead, so its a pretty good move. The difference is that this move can lead into a full 32% combo and is safe on block, because of the just frame teleport that will with even if the NJP is blocked.

Doing an NJP before the teleport will make your timing for the just frame teleport very easy, just try it.

This is what basically will happen if you get a hit in: for example if somebody jumps and u do a njp u will hit him and follow it up with ajust frame teleport, the teleport will wiff and you can follow up with 1,1 teleport, 11 into spear and to the cross in jump punch forward 2,1 teleport into vortex.

This is what happens if they block the NJP: u will wiff the teleport, so u will recover very fast and u will be in neutral frames, what I usually do is pressure with 1,1 or just dash up to them and grab.

Did this make any sense?

I hope u can give us more insight abouth this tech, whether it is a viable tech or not.

BTW I like to use this move in the corner, this is my setup:

D4 twice, most people will try to jump over you so an NJP will have a good chance of getting a hit in, if not it will be safe on block and the just frame teleport will wiff, leaving u in neutral frames.

EDIT POST: if you do this setup in the corner and it is blocked, your just frame teleport will go right threw your opponnent, making them confused and most important of all, you wont corner yourself

please try this out in the lab

Its interesting, i still miss it on occasion after the jnp. I'll have to mess with it during match play, could be a pretty thing to implement into Scorp's game.

I know right? But I found another thing about scorp, his anti air D4 can lead into a vortex combo, I just made a threat about it, ya think it is a viable replacement for D1?

I don't know if it will be better than d1, I'd have to do some testing. d1 even beats jump kicks when spaced right, and since its so fast, it allows you a lot of time to react to your opponent's jump. If d4 beats jump kicks with ease, it will be worth replacing d1.

I dont think it beats any well timed jumpkick, in that case d1 would be the better option. guess d4 can only be used for opponents who arent in your reach with d1

How much advantage is scorpion at after a D4? Anything guaranteed after it?

I am new to Scorp only having playing him four days now. Is this the most active General Questions thread for Scorp?

Sadly, Scorp has very little advantage after d4, they can jump out of damn near everything except in the extreme of d4 hitting at point blank maybe, which you'd prolly be using f4 then in that case.

Its fast with good range, but probably the worst when it comes to actual frame advantage. :(

Lame, D4 is a huge part of my game with my other characters :( Guess i'll just have to adapt. Any decent pressure tips besides the standard 111s?

I gotta ask this BTW not really related to MK gameplay but is Scorpion based on Ghost Rider?

Two Angry Skeletons with flaming skulls wielding chains on a quest for vengeance that can breath fire, Even in UMvC he has a similar "get over here" move and also a move called "Hellfire". Can't be a coincidence right?

For what it's worth, a really late jump punch -> teleport seems to be a lot more forgiving. Probably only useful for some crossup pressure.

Dont know if mentioned yet, but in combo after F21,tele ( safe jumpin ) i love to make JP into wiffed tele it makes my opponent brain hurts really really much
