Bloodfang

The Immortal Tiger
In single player or local VS my friends I'll take it very serious and competitively, lol. But Online or Tourneys? No. I'm too mediocre for that as anyone who fought me during the stress test can tell you, lol. I'll settle for being house champion in my group of friends.

I'm an "older" gamer too, and it's not so much about the age itself, more about the life priorities that are, well, more of a priority than a video game.
Age definitely plays a factor (take note kids; those young boy reaction speeds of yours go away quicker than you think they will) but not to the point were you can't adjust your playstyle to compensate.

But yeah, the biggest obstacle that comes with being older and still trying to be a competitive gamer is all of the responsibilities you have compared to when you're in your teens and early twenties. You just have a lot less time to devote to hobbies.

Quality of time training over quantity! Yes, having a lot of responsibilities vs someone who competes for a living is definitely a disadvantage. But if you’re training time is used properly, you won’t be too far behind. The problem is most people just play the game. They don’t do any research, you really gotta be a student of the game. You know studying frames, matchups, match footage, analyzing why you lost, studying your own habits and tendencies and also your opponents, etc etc. Most people get overwhelmed because you kinda have to treat it like a 2nd job and most people don’t find that fun. Which I can’t blame them. Who wants to work during their limited free time? And moreover, there’s no guarantees that all your hardwork will ever have a payoff.

Come Thunder! Come Lightning!
I fought Nevik online once and won, That's as competitive as i'll ever get. I don't have enough money to fly to tournaments overseas unfortunately.

But ofc, i'll enter any online tournament. I take mk very seriously and i have confident i can compete with top players.

I'm going to be very casual with it and mostly play offline, probably with every character eventually. I might wander into the online modes once a year or so just to remind myself why I stay away from the online modes.

True Grave

Giving The Gift Of Graves
No chance I'll compete in offline events living in East Bung Hole New Hampshire. I entered a couple of Dink's Xbox tourny's with I2. Ran a few matches with @C88 True Grave during the stress test so hopefully he'll run a few online tourny's for MK 11. I think the biggest thing I want to accomplish in this game is playing more of the roster. I've always been a character loyalist/specialist and with how incredible this roster is I really want to play as many characters as possible. MKX left such a bad taste in my mouth, it made me despise characters such as Scorp, Sub, Lui, and Loa, etc. When in reality these characters are so fucking incredible, I hate how that game made me feel towards these iconic characters.
I will absolutely be running tournaments and many other events for MK11. It Has Begun!

I'm a casual fighting game player, and always have been, so no. My game play will all be for fun, offline and online, nothing more, nothing less.

Waiting for Injustice 3
Was planning on traveling to tournaments including the west coast summit qualifier but with 2 preset variations and most moves going unused I’m heavily reconsidering. Might not travel until/unless custom variations are given the green light
