SALTY 50/50s man

It is better this way
Cage, D'vorah and Takeda are really close imo. I think Jax is in that discussion too, just because he does so well vs Alien and Demo.

But where is Mileena in your list dawg. I feel like i'm the only one who has her in the top 4, these days. Come back friends. :(
I think she is only like .000001% worse than Takeda and my list changes all the time lmao. I think in this order: Kano, Alien, Sonya, Cage, Takeda, D'Vorah, Mileena, Ermac, Jax, Shinnok

Learn from this.
I agree with this sentiment for the most part after I found myself getting mixed by imposter shinnok. It really reminded me of batgirl the way he has so many options off his vortex and I literally have none beside guess right... That said I don't think 50/50s are the main issue in this game because of the fact that there are so many armor moves to at least give you more than one option, but I really do think that vortex chars with at least one safe mixup have no place in fighting games, it's dumb takes no skill and no read, which is why I am really excited for inj2 based on what has been said about the games meta so far.

50/50's are the bane of this game. i hate them. u can lose to scrubs because they have the power to make you guess.

I have a theory.
Injustice got a lot of love but a lot of hate as well. More love than hate, but people HATED the zoning (or spamming if you will) aspect of the game in injustice. So I feel as if they wanted to make sure that wouldn't happen in MKX by making offense extremely over powered.

This is a pretty legit breakdown, but I still think Kano, Sonya, Alien, Cage, and Takeda are a little better. I think D'Vorah is legit #6.
Yeah i can totally get that. Its why i was saying its all in my opinion i may be a little biased because her hitbox screws with johnny and takeda. His f3 srkc s1 doesn't jail on her and 11 cancels don't either i think. So she has a easier time with him, especially since she can just d3 any approach he takes. I think her and ct kano are the closest. I would put takeda at 6 because his armor is terrible. You can really put the pressure on him once u get in

I just got done playing illusions. Great set, ggs. It was close but he took it. But man I've begun to take this game serious less and less everyday.

During our sets we had a Lao mirror. PL was right. Some of the most fun I've had in this game. All about spacing and fundamentals.

Then our last set was Shaolin vs Tempest. Don't get me wrong, Illusions is a great player. But the match felt wrong. I kept getting hit with long range mixups and just dying. My armor is punishable and my normals can't compete. He was safe so he could keep doing it until you die not cause you got outplayed, you guessed wrong.

I admit I play GM sub. I will mix your ass in the corner. But only cause it's not easy being a Lao main in this game. There are fun matchups but at some point broken Demolitions, acidics, shotguns, shaolins, swarm queens, and quans get to you. It's not fun.

Whoever it was at NRS that thought it was a great idea to have a game with coin flips to lose 40% life each wrong guess should really revaluate their skills as a game developer. Hopefully MK11 or INJ2 saves us.

It's unfortunate that this thread turned into a "how good is KL or D'Vorah really" discussion instead of a serious talk about the risk/reward balance of specific tools and - of course - 50/50ies in this game.
Because thats where this game fails.

When D'vorah players think they play the hardest character in the game because of a 5-6 frame link.
unnecessary shade lol
that leads to 29% meterless with corner carry/puddle setup. its not even that hard to hit confirm either. Bae broke confirmed
i still stand by everything i said other than that being safe cus at least personally i can't react to them blocking the low fast enough to make it safe but yeah she's nasty

Its all good man its just opinions. btw u can find me on here saying dvorah cancels aren't that hard either. I told vak pheonix that and I've said this plenty of other times so im assuming the cancer said something completely out of line and there is a reason he is ignored lol.

lol the cancer helps me learn the alien match up so i'm cool with him

I didn't say anything isn't good.

I'm just saying that Lao's EX spin as an anti cannot be deemed one of the best in the game, because most of the cast can do the same thing with their armor.

Even timing Jax's overhead dash punch on a jump in and converting it, is super easy. The characters who lack a move like that, like Shinnok, Kang, D'vorah, also have a great anti airing normal to cope. Lao does not. Even meterless spin is awful.
are you talking about dvorah's d2 or s1 for anti airs?

lol funny how it's an Alien player trying to talk bad about another character ease of use. Alien is THE potato character besides sonya so i mean it is what it is

In traditional TYM fashion, it went to a tier placement thread.

I was actually looking through the character screen and I began to realize by a major big patch they could actually remove almost all of the 50 50s in this game and make it a lot nicer to play.

An example would be for shinnok, making his f3 a hard knockdown would automatically remove the mixup. For Dvorah make her b1 a mid- Boom. Gone and it goes on.

People cried for days over superman and deathstrokes zoning :p
Edit: Even sinestro, green Lantern etc etc zoning was super super strong in injustice.
Superman and Deathstroke are middle of the pack when it came to zoning in IGAU.

Compared to MMH, Zod, Sinestro, Zatanna and Raven. Even Batman has better zoning tools then Supes and DS.

The reason they were hated so much is because they had a simple gameplan that could be abused to lower level players when it came to playing the game online. Combine that with the not-so-tolerable netcode IGAU had and the casual community... well. Thats where all hate came from.
