Getting back into this game. Playing my boy Birdie. Anyone care to give a lil scrub like myself some tips? Or where to get said tips?
If you want to watch a top level Birdie, I would recommend looking up replays of XYZZY, MenaRD, or crusher.

If you want to watch a mid level Birdie (might be better if you want to learn how to deal with annoying gimmicks that the top guys probably won't need to address, since they are usually playing better players), you can check out my replays on CFN (PaultheOctopus). I also have a few matches on YouTube. I'm Ultra Platinum, and can answer any Birdie Qs you have.
 
Since no one actually cares about tech and I know I can still hit you guys with it since you'll ignore me, akuma can actually tick throw his raging demon off a st lk/lp or even f hp as long as he buffers the jabs behind it and uses the forward input to walk a tiny bit forward. It's unjumpable and pretty much everyone gets hit by it cause it's not usually a thing you can do.

Since no one actually cares about tech and I know I can still hit you guys with it since you'll ignore me, akuma can actually tick throw his raging demon off a st lk/lp or even f hp as long as he buffers the jabs behind it and uses the forward input to walk a tiny bit forward. It's unjumpable and pretty much everyone gets hit by it cause it's not usually a thing you can do.
It's not like knowing about it will stop people from getting hit by it. As I posted earlier in this thread, he can tick throw raging demon off a blocked sweep which you called "super mario" tech.

Except yours wasn't a tick throw. Mine(not really mine) is literally unjumpable. If you press a button you get hit. If you block you get hit. If you hold up you get hit.youve gotta act before the demon comes out, or you're done. And acting in that situation risks more since ch jab into mk into tatsu hadoken dp ca is more dmg than the demon.

that's it beating reversal backdash, reversal 3 framer, and blocking. only thing that beats it is jumping after the kick or using ex dp before the demon which is risky since in that situation akumas got full bar and is in trigger so if he knows that you know he can still hit you for more dmg than the demon does if you hold up. you can do it off other normal but the jab/f hp one lose to mashed 3 frame jabs still useful though since youre doing it when plus so theyre gonna be scared since you've got options up close. not something to use all the time but its worth being aware of.

You're right, that one wasn't a tick throw that I posted. It was more of a trap/gimmick. I did post other reset's that forced the jump pre-super animation.

I was just messing with yours and I think it loses to walking backwards. So if they hold back after f.HP, they will be able to jump back post super animation and punish.

Yeah the f hp and jab ones have certain things they lose to. The lk one doesn't. I said that in the post. The big difference though is it's just a mixup when you're plus, if they ever try to cover it as an option they're putting themselves at a greater risk than not covering it. If they walk back you can do cr mk into a tatsu combo for 450 dmg.

The more things akuma can make you worry about the better. Even if he never uses it as an option it's worth knowing, same for the opponents. Akuma has nothing(other than this) you'd ever wanna hold up for after a light kick so unless you know this is possible you WILL get hit by it.

The point is that he's got so many options to set up a demon that you can't possibly be ready or anticipate all of them. Those setups you posted are pretty nasty and I guarantee they will work 90% of the time.

My plan for when Akuma activates v-trigger with full bar is to jump around like an idiot.

You cant walk back unless your back walk speed is greater than Akumas forward walk speed(I don't think anyone is, if they are it's probably only vega). But yeah the f hp and jab ones are way gimmickier.

Also would still work in the corner even if you could walk back fast like vega.

Yeah, I only tested the f.HP one. It would definitely catch anyone crouch blocking. The lk version seems alot better. How difficult is the execution on that one?

Edit: Wait, the way I tested it Akuma could walk back after the f.HP version and still jump out.
