Should Scorpion be banned from tournaments?

Zod is a zoner with slow projectiles, I bet he gets MOPPED UP by Scorpion.

Hopefully.

Anyways, I think Scorpion is alright to use in Tournaments, people just need to know how to block Scorpion and his mix-ups. I'm still learning how to block his mix-ups, it's hard as hell to do that though since I vowed to never buy Scorpion but I'll get there.

Lol ..anybody with an average IQ should know why Scorpion doesn't belong in this game -- No explanations needed
Thank you! It's such a simple concept and it honestly doesn't need that much discussing, especially when the top representative of the character (so far) can also agree to it.

We throw out all the reasons why he shouldn't be allowed to live, ask for reasons why he should be allowed to stay, only to get 'level up' (still disregarding the fact that scorp players will inevitably level up too), or that its too early.

It's a needed debate, but still one that I can see making me grind my teeth like some super cereal crackhead.

IMO if normal teleport still hit mid, Scorpion would be far less broken. The fact that down to block isn't the means to punishing teleport anymore gives non-ex teleport a means to be safe. The reason I say this is after watching Reo play on stream, Scorpion conditions you to always feel unsafe even while blocking in his current build, because you have to make 2 right reads - first that he is going to teleport, and then that he is also not going to EX teleport. Even if he completely whiffs the normal teleport, you as a human being need to react first to him teleporting and THEN to the fact that it wasn't an EX teleport.

uh hell yes because he's not even DC.

he doesn't even belong in the game. he's a "guest" character as noobde has stated, which means he's not invited to sit at the round fucking table.

Yeah, this is one of the reasons that debates around this game are hard -- you have 4 bars of meter, gain meter easily, and a lot of people make arguments as if the EN versions of moves don't exist. So whenever people say "just block/punish" or "just duck" or whatever, they never seem to take into account that maybe the EN move has little to no disadvantage on block.. Maybe it's actually advantage.. When a good player has 4 bars to play with, the game becomes a lot more complex than simply dealing with the meterless versions of special moves.

I say let Scorp rock till after Evo. I wanna see REO vs PL in a Scorpion mirror match in Grand Finals. Battle of the J3-Tele-YouGonLearnToday on the main stage in front of all those people at the tourny and on the stream. Let those 2 showcase the tip of the iceberg of whats in store for this game in the future. Then maybe NRS will step in and see if they can fix him without destroying him. Its gonna take that level of exposure before anything gets handled IMO.

Seeing Scorpion in his current form on the main stage of Evo will kill off anyone taking this game seriously.

Are ya' ready for MK11 kids?!
Rather him be bad than ruin the game. NRS just did an awful job with his design.
But then it'll be an endless loop of buffs and nerfs because this community's track record of correctly addressing a broken character (from their perspective) is abysmal. Just ask the guy in my avatar. And in the end, NRS gets exhausted from it all and drops support for the game entirely.

That being said, remember how we were wrong about nerfing Kano in MK9 and we should've just let the metagame play out? Whatever happened to that idea?
