NOTHING is messin with Man of Steel this summer...hands down the best film coming out. Thank God we finally get an authentic Superman movie for this generation,Nolan handling story and Snyder handling the shots and action = GOLDEN

Pretty disappointing. Here I was thinking the movie would be awesome and it turns out to be just as bad as the others. I guess superman was not meant for the big screen. I have nothing against superman but Damn.

I see where the negative or medicore reviews are coming from, it drags a bit sometimes and it is a bit undecided betwwen being broody and being fun, but personally I had a blast. Ignore the few spikes in gooftness and you will have a blast, epic stuff!

I just saw it an hour ago and this dude is on crack. Its pretty damn good. Best superhero action sequences I have ever seen. Also it gave off a cool science fiction vibe to it as well and I liked the more serious tone the movie had.

Ya I think so. Michael Shannon did a great job imo. However, I think his lieutenant faora is the most bad-ass just wait til you see her in action. Its awesome.

The overall experience was very underwhelming. Too much shaky, an over abundance of flashbacks really bogged down the entire experience. Some really cheesy parts. (Will not go into detail as theres yet a lot of people to go watch it). My biggest complaint is, Where is the Imax!? I paid to watch the movie in Imax 3D, yet there's not one part that transitions to full screen. I'd imagine I'd be seeing something like TDKR where there would be transitions but there wasn't. I may have gotten ahead of myself saying it's one of the worst superman movies ever, but IMO IMO IMO IMO, it did not meet the accumulated hype that I had gotten. I will say I guess its a step forward coming from Superman Returns..

Well, I think that it could be like the Dark Knight Rises in some ways. I loved the way Selina Kyle was written for the Dark Knight Rises. It's my absolute favorite version of Catwoman, and I hope that she is represented similarly in future appearances. However, I know that there's a lot of people that completely hate it and think Michelle Pfieffer's Catwoman will be the only acceptable version of her ever. I'm guessing it's going to be a similar situation with Superman. He seems to be written with a different tone that doesn't vibe with people who have been fans his other, more common representations for many years. Eh, I'll just wait to respond when I've actually seen the movie.

EDIT: Seems like more of a story thing than a character thing from above, so I'm gonna stop reading until I see the movie so I don't get so worried haha!

Imax 3d and 3d in general are dead gimmicks IMO especially when the 3d is put in post production which man of steels was...

It was good, but very uneven. They obviously cut a lot out of it because the pacing is fucked. Goyer is an idiot who tried to shove too much stuff into the script, making little details like why Zod is interested in Superman too complicated and having to shovel us tons of exposition just so we know what the fuck is happening. Also, Snyder understands symbolism in the way a child understands blocks. Very clumsy.

Actions scenes were literally awe inspiring though, and the actors are very good. I liked it but it has issues. I am craving a sequel with better focus.
