At least be empathetic man, that teleport ruins doomsday's pressure game. I have no idea how a low damage corner oki character can keep shazam in the corner now.

Wow? How in the hell is that an improvement to prepatch? Taking away phantom hitbox will render "Eluding Mercury Storm" useless on wakeup, because there are recovery frames for "Eluding Mecury Storm". All Doomsday would have to do is apply "whiff cancel option select" with his shoulder charge and it's ggpo for Shazam. Is that to damn hard for you to understand?

I know it shuts down his pressure game but he can't have his way with the entire cast that would make him broken. Just like Shazam can't have his way with the entire cast.

I agree with you 100% regarding shazam's teleport pre patch, it's lack of invincibility made it pretty lack luster! I'm Glad it has invincible now! It's a great option for any character to have, invincible teleports are fine by me I never had a problem with that to begin with!

Soooo, what I gathered from this is: U Mad Shazam isn't free for Doomsday.

I haven't heard any Deathstrokes or Sinestros complaining about Shazam's teleport. If your whole game revolves around crossups and meaties like 99% of online Batman's, then you'll just have to adjust... not like you have a free MB shoulder charge that's +3 on block to get back in or anything....

No, it has nothing to do with how this plays out with Doomsday.. I use DD as a reference because he's my main and I know first hand how punishing teleport feels with him!

I imagine that punishing teleports are just as difficult with other characters, haven't bothered to check but I'd be willing to bet.

why would complaints from doomsday players be strange in the absence of consensus from Deathstroke and Sinestro..
They're Zoning characters... of course having the opponent teleport AWAY from them wouldn't bother them as much.

Are you talking about advancing teleport? if you are then save that for later cause that's not what's being discussed at the moment.

If your problem is that it is "too hard to punish" then you should go and practice some more. You have just come here and cried your eyes out expecting for there to be a solution to every single one of your problems.

If Shazam could teleport and then somehow punish DD for trying to punish shazam then fair enough. But considering that EVEN if a mb shoulder does not hit and shazam blocks it, you are STILLLL at +3. PLUS THREEE! You can STILL continue your pressure.

Guy is crying about a COMPLETELY PUNISHABLE wakeup, and his character has an overhead-low that is like 6 frames between each. You don't see us coming over to DD forums with our knickers in a twist.

Take home message - Go PRACTICE and get better!

No, MB supernova hits you wherever you are. Shoulder charge would need to be input backwards.

However, thinking about it, advancing mercury storm is not an issue because the phantom hitbox will be behind doomsday.

I showed you in the first damn video that I posted how mb venom works but how it needs to be timed excessively well.
Go into training mode yourself and see how the mb venom has to be timed.. it's harder than it needs to be.

To hard to punish? I would say too scrubby and too good of a get out of jail free card at the cost of no meter and little worries.
no my problem is that I, and probably along with a lot of other characters, have to go balls out and preemptively do something that unsafe to have a chance to punish something and STILL get punished for it even when we make the right read!

It ought to be more of liability and be more punishable on read like every other teleport in every other fighting game(Unless MK had a broken teleport like this, I wouldn't know cause I never touched that.)

And no, I never came to this thread expecting answers or expecting there to be one, I hoped for some insight or to be guided toward new that I might of missed, but no dice.

I'd apologize for having flooded this thread with my posts but I wouldn't of had to reiterate my thoughts and points over and over and over if this forum wasn't so full of incompetent kids.

You are all a bunch of assholes. HungryforPasta comes in here and ASKS us what we can do about it. It's not our job to sit here and tell him to eat a dick and practice harder. We should try to help him get his answer so that we too can learn more about how the fuck this crazy ass teleport works.

It's not braindead, he's legitimately told you in the video, if he thinks a teleport or backdash is coming he wants to punish it. I feel he should be right in punishing it with shoulder charge but the game won't let him, and then you sit there flaming him for just asking what he can do claiming he's not alllowed to have braindead answers? Come on guys.

I bet anyone who hasn't seen how retarded this wakeup is will get livid over how hard it is to punish. Shazam used to be completely vulnerable to his own wakeup game. Now he's unable to do anything cause teleport is a free get out everytime and is nigh unpunishable. Don't give some guy crap cause you got a gift and want it to stay the same. Just help the guy out holy shit.

We did give him answers and every answer given was a viable tactic to pre-emptively punish a wakeup teleport. No his agenda was to fuss about the properties of the wakeup teleport. To be fair he was the one coming off as an "asshole" from the beginning. He clearly had no clue that his data was inaccurate from the start. He then proceeded to bash and insult anyone here who had an answer other then the one he was looking for. That being that wakeup teleport is OP and should be nerfed. No, Shawi is absolutely right he needs to stop his bitching and go practice the solutions we gave him for punishing teleport.

I can only see the teleport being a big problem mid screen but in the corner not so much. 90% Shazam is going to teleport backwards if they are in the corner, which I think you mentioned already in your video. If you read a teleport behind you out of the corner, you can just jump back 3 and you can combo me right back into the corner and continue the pressure. I play this matchup a lot with Killanator who is a really good Doomsday player.
On that note, I do have a question for you though and the rest of the people in this thread, does anyone have an answer for Doomsday's shoulder tackle move on wakeup? Its kind of a get out of pressure free tool itself it seems. The way the input is for the move, whatever I try to do he ends up out of the situation. I try to grab and I get shoulder tackled, I try to cross up and the anti air shoulder comes out because the input is the same and they are out of range, i try to neutral jump and the normal shoulder tackle comes out once again, I block and then the shoulder tackle is meter burned and I have to back dash or take a mixup. Any thoughts or ideas?

Heroic_Legacy - So did I not spend time to go and find out how to punish it? Did i not then spend time to upload images and post them in the forum for HIM! Read back 4 pages and see that despite EVERYONE telling him that mb shoulder and mb supernova both punish it, he is still having none of it. What else can we do? Doomsday is a pressure character, he doesn't need to punish it, he can still get in on shazam after he teleports. Even if it doesnt hit with a mb shoulder but it is blocked, THATS FINE, he is at plus 3. I don't understand how we have not helped. The solution is to mb supernova or mb shoulder - I don't know how many times we (and you) have to say it.

The point of him getting to his superman outfit was too fast. It should have been a story about how he became superman. Then you can introduce the whole mega action with Zod. Where was lex? He is integral to his youth - this should have been the story.

Oh and how many bloody films are there with a "alien comes along to help earth, his race come after him to inhabit earth and now he has to stop them" type storyline.

6/10 - If you want to watch superman, watch smallville, superman is not for the big screen

Do you have to do wake up attack? it seems his grab still has priority =[

and does anyone have the frames on block for his electric spin? seems hard to punish online
