Strategy "Shazam!" -- Captain Marvel General Discussion Thread

Who's a good secondary to pair up with shazam? I tried to be a loyalist but thwre are some mus that I just won't bother with anymore.

Necrobumpin just to ask an opinion question of Shazam players since Injustice 2 seems a near announcement for us.

Do you think Shazam will comeback and if so will we get a different gimmick? I really feel that they'll just use the line that the Injustice world's Shazam died and replace him wholesale with the mainline Shazam and use that as an excuse for altering his character gimmick. Fists were fairly limiting and Batgirl felt like she did the trait better. This time I'm hoping maybe we get something like extra stun on moves from lightning or some kind of command normal that alters his move properties to lend him starters. Like say his lightning bolts explode and knock folks towards him or something or him speeding up on his special move startups.

Sorry. Can't contain my hype right now. Hoping to hear Injustice 2 announced soon since Boon changed his avatar to a 2 and E3 is like in a week.

I don't think Shazam will be back for Injustice 2. Already waiting to see who my new main will be. Also the reason his trait was eh was cause they changed it last minute. It used to make his punch moves unblockable. Even though IMO his trait was pretty good

Lighting bolt being meter burned does a vertical popup similiar to Green Lanterns. Would look something like his F22 string if I remember correctly, yet not sure how well he could convert other than psycho crusher. Perhaps new special properties on teleport? Wishful thinking...

There are other Captains that received the wizard's blessings right? The ending of the game depicted a bunch flying with the same costume so maybe one of them take his place. Just no Billy this time around

Just remember it was Regime Shazam that died. Not the Shazam from the main universe where Green Arrow and everyone came from. I think that we'll see that Shazam this time around. God he would've been a monster with the unblockable punches though...

He has the power to give the Wizards power to other people for a limited period of time. Which is did at his ending. He has also done it with his Siblings in the comics

I know but i still doubt he will not be in. He will be replaced with someone more popular. The trait also could not be canceled into. So you couldn't do something like 112 and cancel into Trait. Trait had horrible recovery. B23 didn't launch, f223? IIRC didn't launch. A lot was different. Also No invincible Teleport WU

If we do see Shazam return, as I hope, he is definitely in my top list of returning cast whose traits need changed. Right behind Green Arrow. I still feel that guy needed his fire arrows to blow folks towards him on hit in a juggle state since he had shut stubby normals, readable high lows and low damage. Not like he could outzone folks so being a reset only character who needed ice just for decent damage that other characters eclipsed was silly. I'd like him to get Kung Jin's poison arrow stuff though. Shazam needed a new trait, but man did that guy need one more.

God I miss Shazam's grabbity combos though. Felt so good diving in with the elbow, popping them up and doing stuff like the ex grab into B3 and low grab and etc etc. Just so many toss around tools during a combo. He felt SOLID and cool when he grapple comboed. Never did get that feeling back with Kano sadly.
