What are Doomsdays options at the beginning of the fight? What should I do to increase my chances to get the first hit?
could depend heavily on the map...

If your playing maps that have interachables within reach from the beginning like Arkham Asylum or Themyscira either jump up and throw the tv/lions or do a venom tackle in hopes of hitting your opponent as they try to jump up themselves.

then it depends n the character, do they have plasma they're gonna chuck at you?
just try your best to get a feel for your opponent options and which ones he or she will be likely to go for and do your best to counter it, and if something goes wrong make a note of it.

After a blocked body slam i usually go for 3 xx ES, 33, 22 xx ES or unblockable throw mix ups, d3 or d1 xx ES.

What the hell do you use to keep people grounded? Everyone thinks they're a fucking astronaut with this game. Just constant jumping. If I can read a jump-in at the right distance, I can snag the bastards with an air grab, but it loses a lot and fucking it up is terrible. Whatever, that's the game.

The main problem I'm having here is that people are jumping out of my oki. I don't understand how (or why) but they wake-up with a jump and it actually gets them away from me. I'm choosing to believe that I'm fucking up and this game couldn't possibly be this bad. The fuck is going on?

Air Venom destroys people in the air. Jump 1 works too, but you got the grab and venom.
For oki you got earthshaker and sweep time it right and they don't get to jump. Earthshaker is pretty braindead as an oki just throw it out there until they decide to wake up if their wakeup beats it. Seriously if they can't block earthshaker rep it until they learn or you win.

what knockdown are we talking about here?
would you be a little more specific? maybe that'll make things a little clearer.

Don't see any of these combos listed in front page and I haven't gone through this entire thread yet so not sure if its in previous posts. Found these in the lab today as my 1st day with DD :D

2 Bars
40% - JI Splash, 22/23, BB MBC, JI3, 22,1+3 (easy difficulty)

40% - JI Splash, 22/23, BB MBC, JI2, B231, venom (moderate difficulty + SWAG)

42% - JI Splash, 22/23, BB MBC, JI3, 23D1, venom (venom whiffs sometimes)

Wake-up Options [2bars]
35% - JI Splash, 22/23, BB MBC, JI2, B13

37% - JI Splash, 22/23, BB MBC, JI3, air snatch
 
GGA Jeremiah what are you doing off of a f3? Heres my BnBs, got anything better?

Midscreen:
f3, j.2, 23d1~shoulder for 29%. Burn a bar for corner carry if you want.
f3, late j.3, 11~earth shake for 30%. Glass Sword posted this one, also a great alternative.

Corner:
f3, j.2, 23d1~teleport for 30% and a hard knockdown.
vs. BIG HITBOX ONLY: f3, j.3, 23d1~teleport for 32% and a hard knockdown.
 
For funsies, what are everyone's BnBs in Fortress of Solitude on the left side? I use the following, no idea if its ideal:

Stage, step back, j.2, 23 xx stage, b3, 22 xx shoulder charge. It's something like 47% meterless.

This is the best P1 Fortress Combo

Stage j.d3 3 Stage B3 Dash Forward 3 Venom

What makes this the best is that after you dash forward you change sides to the P2 side and the Venom carries them right back in the corner. This combo does 51% I believe that this is going to be the go to move on Fortress stage

Hey guys this is probably not really viable in its current form although might be a stepping stone for some potential reset ideas down the line:

Do a combo where you get the opportunity to do an air to air j2 (i used a simple bodysplash, 3, MB ES, d2, j2). Allow the combo to end on the j2 and the opponent fall to the floor, then input 2,2,1+3 string when you land. The 2,2 obviously whiff, but the 1+3 activates at the perfect time on their wake up. On batman set to wake up attack there was only one wakeup option (besides super) that could get him out of this, normal attacks and jumping didn't work.

Its massively telegraphed and not very useful as is, but the timing seems very convenient....
 
If the grab is coming out naked like that then the second 2 is hitting a phantom hitbox before they get up... Meaning you can cancel into whatever special you want. Could be a gimmick I guess.

i posted about some cross-up stuff a page or two back for some reason i cant get it to work anymore but i found a version that does work 23 es MB 1 23d1 up venom MB crosses them up on wake up ... u can repeat this sequence by doing d2 (slight pause) 23d1 up venom MB
its a fun way to blow all your meter ;)
 
In the corner you can f3, j2, 23d1xx db2. Sometimes with perfect timing you cross under them right before the db2 and your teleport becomes earthshaker. Not sure if this could be exploited but it happens to me once in a blue moon

Don't know if this is common knowledge, but jumping forward after a f+3 can be inputted as an option select. There's a pretty big window after a f+3 where you can hold up and if they got hit by the f+3, you will jump (allowing you to follow up with j3> 11, ES), but if they didn't get hit, you don't jump, and you can walk forward and d1> ES instead.
 
You can use b1 or f2 in footsies with EX earth shake, combos are as follows

b1~earth shake MB, 23d1~shoulder 25% easy
b1~earth shake MB, d2, b3, j2, 23~shoulder 27% VERY DIFFICULT

Same exact combos and %s with f2

This is pretty YOLO but its viable enough for me to be confident in posting it

Kind of useless but pretty easy.

Yo that doesn't do 47 lol. That does 39%

I know cause mine is almost exactly the same Stage, J3, 23, stage, b3, 23, charge 43%, 47% one bar MB charge, and 53 with super.
