It would appear that me and kt smith found a..... Buff to green lantern last night.

It seems that his 223 string is now entirely uninterruptable. I guess it was a glitch..before the patch, a character like killer frost could do the counter in the middle of 223 and freeze them, now you cannot.


Kt realized it when he set the dummy to reversal slide, and before the patch the dummy would get hit during 223 when it was blocking at the start because it attempted a reversal during the glitched gap. Post patch the dummy blocks.

Is it just me or did his damage go down? I was running through my bnb's and started thinking they were doing less than they did before the Lobo patch. Some of his longer combos don't match up to their damage values in the BnB thread.

Ok well this isn't on the official patch list but it seemed pretty clear to us that they changed it. Anyone care too test the unmatched version to confirm?

Is Hal's ring throw considered a move or a throw? Are opponents able to Meter Burn a F/B3 on you? Or do you still scoop them up for the slam?

If you mean "Lanterns Might", it is not a throw but a normal attack. If you meter burn F/B3 Lanterns might will make contact with your hitbox and activate your armor but you will not get lifted. F/B3 is a good counter to Lanterns might if you read its coming.

I'm quite a noob at this game plus my main is Sinestro so probably i'm wrong but are we sure that 2231 is -2 on block ?And couldn't 223 BF1 MB used to pressure on block since the game says it's +18(!) on block?

Nah, rocket misses to crouching at that range. Can't mb it soon enough.

yo after top 32 started how many matches did you win to get into top 8? I'm tryna figure out what place I got

Hoping it's 4 because that at least means I got top 16.

Come to think about it, I'm like 90% sure I got top 16 because at the point in the bracket where I had to play CD there was no way there were more than 16 people still in.

Yea I double checked how placings are broken down and I did get top 16. Not great but not bad either.

The kicker is that they posted the top TWELVE placers on eventhubs so I'm not even on there. I'm just like smh who dafuq goes by top twelve

Played the cyborg mirror with him in casuals after though and did well. His iafbs are the best in the country though, easily

What could they possibly touch? Real talk.

Lift is already hella neg on block. Combo dmg is low. Neg block strings, neg air fireball.

Chaingun? Halfscreen projectile. Make it a quarter?

GL has nothing abusable.

Real talk. It takes a smart player to beat GL. Not everyone likes coming to terms with a player being smarter than them. They can take the loss if the char is broken. But not if they get outplayed.

Honestly, I think that he will be next on the nerf list too, not because he is particularly broken or good, but the fact that a lot of people are playing him, and NRS hates, popular characters. Btw f2,d1 into mbOR, gdlk, jailhouse, gdlk.

Yes, GL is very much a sum-of-his-parts character. He's flying under the radar right now but I'm worried what will happen if the community gathers the pitchforks and torches.

An nerf to lift's range or a significant increase in recovery would hurt him bad. I hope that won't happen though because its part of GLs design to dominate at that range; you just have to fight him outside of it where he's weaker.
