Character Powers: An Injustice in Balance

black adams trait is really fucking good ... gives him cancellable pressure , gives him 50% punishers (and punishment off a d1), leads to throw setups... enhances his turtling ability.
i think black adam is the best character in the game atleast in my opinion for now.


bane needs his trait bane is bottom tier right now, some characters completely shut him down with like 1 move. bane needs buffs, maybe not his trait but he needs buffs.

killer frost's trait is almost better to not have charged because its unbelievable for her mixup game.

Bane Trait need buffs, remove the negative effects is something that is more than clear, bane combos work are not free, especially when you have to travel all day across the stage following zoning chars.

Batman is fine maybe a little more cooldown, range of batman is based on their trait, especially against characters like aquaman.

And I think aquaman trait is the best on the game, try to connect a combo is a waste of time and a risk.. in some cases aquaman can punish you as you attempt to combo, example: batman 223, aquaman activates his trait and punish with d2 full combo, 30% approx (reo vs brady)

The problem people have with Batman is not his range use of the trait, it's the other option, the up close one.

I actually don't care about the b23 nerf in itself, I just don't think it needed to be nerfed or even mentioned before so many other things. It feels like it's so much less important especially since it's beatable. Besides, he can still do his reset off of tech rolls and he has other knock downs in combos he can do that I've been working on, so the reset itself will always be around, just not as easy to do.

You think I'm automatically downplaying when I say anything negative about Ares. I dunno why, maybe Slips beats you really bad with him or something, who knows. But once you realize Ares' weaknesses, you can abuse them all day with very little risk. It's why I was fine with him having a "hard to escape" reset, because otherwise he's not much of a threat up close since everything but d1 is really slow. But I'm also fine with it getting nerfed, as long as other characters who deserve it more get nerfed as well. He does give some characters problems. As far as I know, he does well against Catwoman, GL, KF, DS, Raven, Grundy, Lex, etc. And people who use those characters may say "hey, Ares is really good", when it's really just that he's good in those certain MU's.

But what do I know? I wasn't a tester, wasn't a high level MK9 player, so my input doesn't count as much. I haven't played the game as much as you guys have, I understand that. But it honestly doesn't take that long to understand your characters relative position in regards to the rest of the cast, based on their tools alone.

hes a self fish man who is all about buffing his character.
constantly moaning about an already strong character , in sinestro is stupid.
if you ask me some trait are out of control but within reason.
sinestro is very strong he doesn't need to be amazing in close,with the kind of keep away game he has.not every zoner ha s to be as brain dead as kenshi.
As for Bane a character that does 60 plus with his trait is that not enough for you get serious.
its used to punish projectiles and get in vs zoners, you really shouldn't be spamming it as a move thats beats all

from my feeling after evo would be a good point in time for the first balance change evaluation. we had a good amount of time and evolution til then. right now we dont even know whats important and dominant in this game, there is barely usage of interactables, f/b3 meter burn cancels, backdash invulnerability and what else i forgot. these are things that might eventually override todays metagame so that the traits you mentioned dont play such a role anymore or characters would even need it. not even speaking of unexplored character potential... we dont even have a matchup chart. let everyone seriously level up the next months with evo being the peak and then lets look whats a serious issue and whats not.

The range and the trait itself are fine with me, personally. I can't speak for those who have to deal with the bat-spin up close, i am not one of those.

The only time black adam can do a 23% throw is when his trait is active and the opponent is NOT blocking. When you're opponent is blocking each orb only does 1%.

Because when you grab your opponent out of blocking they're still blocking...?

Depends in that case, if more hit while blocking, than when thrown.

That's because the throw is just frame.

Some NEED them to even be kind of relevant, others not at all because they're awesome without them, and oh yeah those same ones who are good have amazing traits compared to ones who need to use them to keep up....your right useless convo.

As a Batman player I completely agree with this. All his best set ups happen with 3 bats anyway. This would really make people play more strategically because they can't afford to just throw bats away and have another immediately available. Imo only let him call 3 bats and give it a 6-7 second cooldown.

On Green Arrow, the damage from his arrows seriously needs to be looked at. Some projectiles are doing big damage while these things do 0.1% on block and 1% on hit. If his rushdown was ridiculous I might understand this, but there are several characters who do just as good or better up close. Imo arrows should be doing 1% on block and 3% on hit.

Electric arrows also have a weird design at the moment. These currently give less advantage on hit than regular arrows and the same advantage on block. They're supposed to "stun" the other player, so I think they should give a safe jump on hit and give low electric arrows a little more block advantage.

No, some chars like joker can't do shit when GA just shoots normal arrows non stop.

You know its funny, when I played Cyrax I was doing this kind of stuff.
That and double-bomb combos.
21 net, 21 EX bomb, close bomb 21 medium bomb, back up b.3 21 air grab.
Flashy, but impractical as all hell. Sadly only gave like 45% but honestly theres reset potential from it I was just too lazy to work with it.
