well that escalated quickly
fantastic response have we worked out that i made some bad arguments and perhaps i do know a thing or 2 about black adam? and for the record ex lightning is not the worst thing to chuck out there i promise, maybe once a game... fighting games arent 100% reaction and playing the meta perfectly..

i didnt ask for black adam to be nerfed... and his ex low can be used in pressure... probably fuzziable but b2 cancel and b2 ex low have good synergy... the cancels give him throw setups also with high damage which is huge considering his playstyle.

im aware divekick can be meterburned and air to aired and perhaps backdashed on reaction... its still an amazing move considered the cross up potential of his close one...

i wasnt aware that the combo only works on big guys.
I know you weren't asking for nerfsasking for nerfs, I'm just saying if anything were to be changed it shouldn't be trait, but instead the divekick.

B2~Ex Lightning is day one stuff. There is no reason to not transition into a low block after blocking the initial overhead hit. You block standing, then transition to low. Also things like 22B1~lightning can be interupted. Throws can be teched while blocking as well.

The way I'm seeing it right now is that it's not that characters have OP traits (exception imo is Aquaman and perhaps Doomsday) but rather most have underwhelming ones.
 
Lobos trait's design is flawed. In order to safely get a nuclear shell in, you have to sacrifice damage at the end of a combo, roughly the same damage this trait gives you. The downside is that you also lose positioning when you do that. The trait is only advantageous when used on his down shotgun blast, but you lose the trait on many of his BnBs before you ever end up doing a down shotgun blast combo.

Fix: speed up recovery on it and let him choose when to use that shell (like MB), or allow him to load more than 1 shell. either way though I think it needs faster recovery.

TAKE AWAY EVERY SINGLE POWER/TRAIT in this game and Superman and Doomsday and 1 or 2 others are still very f ing good

..........You mean to tell me that already top characters have top traits added and not one of them except frost is charged?


To me this just means those three characters may need nerfing in general, mostly I just dislike looking at specific parts of any character when it comes to strengths and flaws.


As a note I feel that Sups and Batman were probably made intentionally strong, as they are the most popular characters by a long shot among the average casual player, and they will eventually be "fixed" when the more casual players have stopped playing.

im saying that b2 ex lightning (25 frames is pushing it i know) and b2 trait b2 have synergy... ill confess noone is teching my throws yet suppose i need to level up.

Actually.. No.... Banes issues are in his move set, not his trait. If his moves make him ass, then you can stop bringing him up in the trait thread... Something tells me that even if there was a godlike trait on Bane, people would still be bitching about his moves.

DS? Mmmmmm.. Not too sure on that one.. DS is activating his from full screen right? Ares, trait Raven aside, I think the cool down is short enough that once you get full damage from his trait shots, the opponent is full screen away from you where you can shell up and/or defend yourself with melee.. You are not going 20 seconds without guns.

Lobo's trait is pretty bad. You should either be able to load multiple nuclear shells up to a maximum of say 3. That way he could get more damage on those harder to perform combos assuming he has all 3 loaded, and it introduces more variety to his game. Maybe you could sacrafice like 4% per combo, so that after the opponent burns clash you can unleash a 60% 1-2 bar combo and finish it off.

This game does indeed have characters who are better late game. Characters like Stroke, and Black Adam have strong late games because by that time they usually have a load of meter to spend keeping you away with their unclashable projectiles. DS's trait is pretty bad, but it shines in certain late game scenarios where you need say 15% damage, have burnt all your meter and the opponent is sitting on a ton of meter. Just trait, do your damage and the round is over before you need to worry about a debuff period (Banes venom should be used in a similar fashion).

Cyborg's trait needs a complete overhaul, it is useless.
Joker's trait needs a rework, maybe parry does more damage, or HA's last longer, or additional affects, etc.
Lobo needs a rework.
Bane needs a rework from what i've been hearing although admittedly I have not played a good one so maybe people are wrong here? Idk.

Joker's trait I've found to be quite useful on reads on wakeup, They need to make his trait effect permanent through the match, and needs to make it so his teeth will hit them out of the parry animation like his throw does. That will make his trait so much more useful.

The biggest issue i have w joker's trait is his "POWER" is an every day special move for a few characters hell batman's is even faster

So what if he gets HaHs ....it last like 4 secs

Joker would love to get BATS instead lol
