im pretty sure batman can do any combo he wants after he dashes the sky drop. and yeah you can run away when dooms day has his trait but a little rush down works also. you basically just want to rush dooms day down

how do you rush him down when his trait is active? he has no block or hit stun.

Yeah it would be nice to have a Batman. If I were skilled enough I could try and pick him up as an alt, but I really just want to focus on Doomsday for the entire life of the game.
When I'm up there next week, I will try and see if I can teach someone what I know about Batman so that someone up there can take that knowledge and try to expand on it so that you can at least have a GGA player that has a Batman alt to practice with.

Maybe we can make Wafflez be Batman. But LBSH Wafflez only knows how to play braindead characters.

Yeah it would be nice to have a Batman. If I were skilled enough I could try and pick him up as an alt, but I really just want to focus on Doomsday for the entire life of the game.
Batman is one of the more simple characters in the game to pick up IMO. I play him too, and the depth with him is almost solely the management of his trait because his combos and mixups/pressure is straightforward.

I will say though that Batman's play style changes a ton depending on the MU since he can do so many different things so figuring out the best strategy for each MU will be kind of a grind.

against raven, batman cant full screen and shoot projectiles because of her reflect.
sure you can pop the batarangs with the robo bats, but you need to time them so that only one of them gets the reflected and hit me before i can block.

batman is better off shooting batarangs at raven and forcing her to block, so he can get in on her.

What do you guys mainly use to whiff punish? I ask this because his grapple is too slow and his normals don't have much range.

Also, how do you punish Aquaman's trident rush?

Depends. B23~call bats is a regular go-to option. Also b11 hit confirm into hard knockdown or juggle if you're a Jedi. If its blocked you can finish with Mb batarangs for +28 on block and follow up pressure...I'm still a bat noob too so trying to find other punishes

he doesnt have range thats why he has bats. you can use bats to whiff punish if you have them. also back 2 3 has range and so does forward 2 .
 
^ yes its a 'get out of combo free' card, that recharges really fast -_-. Both my friend and my brother main him. His trait is tricky to get around.

Ok how do you deal with a spaming body splashing dooms day and that unblockable move that dooms day does landing on top of you.. I cant deal with it online.. It made me rage quit
 
^ I always try to save a bar and armor out of those doomsday elbow drops. That tactic works pretty well online. You can also cancel the kick after the armor absorbs the attack by dashing and open him up with an even better combo, cause he is HIGHLY unsafe on the elbow drop. They will chill out with the elbow drop after they get punished on a few of them. Its easy enough to build bar in injustice that you shouldnt have to worry about expending some meter to get him to stop the spam. Worst place to be at by far vs a doomsday is in the corner. He will spam that one attack that hits overhead and low in the same attack to keep you pinned down. You have to read him right and sucessfully wakeup with slide to avoid that. Against the body splash if they keep spamming it, throw out a sky grapple once in a awhile to catch him, and enhance it to make him eat a 35-40% damage combo off of an anti air.

Dooms also has a throw move off of one of his strings. If you read the string right you can poke him out of the throw for a free combo followup. Try to block high more then low vs him, he has a combo starting low but its fairly easy to see coming. His overheads are way more damaging.

But yeah you might eat a few elbows at the very start of the match especially online where its hard to dodge, but once you get some bar you will be fine. In my opinion dooms has the advantage in this matchup especially online, but batman does have the tools to deal with him. If he gets you in the corner and baits out your wakeups though, then its game over. You DONT want to let him get you in a corner, ever.
 
IIRC no, unless im just not doing it fast enough. Because its 2 hits in 1 move, ive tried doing it as soon as the overhead hits and i still get knocked down by the 2% damage low lol, allowing dooms to come right back up on me in the corner while im down, the parry also doesnt work on that moves overhead, as it counts the entire move as a low. The only way ive found out how to get out of it is the I frames on the slide. You can actually block the overhead, then the low, but online dont ever try it. Theres no way you can actually block the move with the input lag online.

In my opinion hes fairly easy to control outside of the corner, and there are answers to his splash and elbow, but once hes got you pinned in the corner it turns into a 50 50 mixup guessing game, where you have to pray he wont read your slide and counter it. Ive tried using sky grapple as a wakeup but it doesnt have enough i frames and the low will still hit you out of it -_____-...

My biggest issue is Aquaman. His damn trait -_-. He can use his godly long range crouch jab to keep you out, and if you try and jump in on him to counter the crouch jab he will uppercut you. If you use the bats or manage to hit him with a normal he will just water of life you and you drop your combo and are back at square one. He so far is the biggest matchup issue i have with bats. His only weakness i see is somewhat abusing parry on him. If you low block and he tries an overhead to get you out, you can read it and react intime to parry. Though he can mix you up with throws if thats the case -_-...

are you talking about f2 over head? I think he's minus on that, you should be able to full combo punish that for free, unless I'm missing something
 
Are you talking about aquas b2 overhead by chance? Its -12 IIRC, but he can also follow up with that backflip afterwards which makes him flip backwards, and by the time you dash toward him to hit him with bats short range normals he can become safe if you dont already have bats out. Also it looks alot like his f3 overhead, which if you get hit by that puts aqua at an advantage, the only difference between the 2 trying to judge on the fly is the b2 overhead is quicker then the f3 by like 7 frames or something. Yeah your right though if you do have bats out already you can send a bat and run up and punish his b2 overhead. Without bats its tricky =/.
