Ok something i was testing last night;

Cross up close divekick MB will leave you at +7 and you dont suffer the usual divekick pushback, So you can actually get a blockstring out of it using 11/22. The timing isnt hard, once you recognise the angle that your divekick sends you, just time it so you input it as you are about to cross over, dont mix up the inputs, just do a regular close MB divekick with db3.

The range at which you input the MB divekick is also quite nicely the range where j2 will hit them in the front. So you have a 50/50 every time you jump at the opponent while they are blocking (and dont anti air you).

This is also quite relevant on oki, as if you do a cross up close MB divekick most wakeups will go the wrong way and whiff, or you just straight up beat them clean!

Been having major problems with green lantern.

He can pressure you with his absolutely safe vortex, max range lift isn't punishable and his zoning is superior.

You basically have to fish for mistakes and punish them, something Adam is good at.

This MU is 6-4 minimum, I go even with a very good lantern I play ( and rage at) but there are times when it's hopeless, the corners for example.

any tips on landing the following:

Far dive kick (MB) --dash--1,1xxBlack Magic--dash--B2,3, u1+3

i cant seem to connect the b2,3 after the second dash after black magic..im sure its a timing thing that im either dashing too late after the black magic or inputting the B2 too later after the dash..i cant seem to get it to hit at all..and i know that series is important to be able to land outside of just this particular combo

Hmmm, well I would reccomend seeing if you can find a video of anyone doing it first and comparing the timing they use to yours and adjust. If you can't find anything with it I will gladly post one up for you when I get home.

Try and get the dive kick as low as possible. Just dash quickly between the moves. That combo is last one in this vid. Hope it helps.

So i had my first tournament last night with black adam i think i did decently well with him getting 7th at a stacked 36 man local here in atlanta. I had great chances to get easily in to the top 3 but just messed up on some things. Overall i played well and i think i showed promise with my Adam, especially in the casuals on stream after the tournament. I lost to a joker (crazy jumping power) and a great doomsday that i had good chances to beat but he played brilliantly. Im not mad about my performance at all but you can bet im coming for top 3 for black adam next time. If anyone watched my stuff or saw me play thanks for watching and ill do even better next time.

I am working on aquaman though for sure as my second to help with characters that just harrass me by jumping all the time. He will be ready by the next BnB and hopefully i can make it to UFGT so be on the look out for me there.

why not just backdash and instant air divekick MB? air normals dont hit it if theyre done at the peak of their jump which combos and stuffs anti airs, which is the case with joker

The main problem was i was trying to space with b2 and my timing was just off but also that i was on maps where i was getting stuck in the corner. You had to see my matches against this joker to really see the problem. Plus ive played against joker VERY little.
