Haven't had much of a chance to play (UK time), but noticed some pretty strong combo damage scaling. Also, apologies I'm terrible and can't remember which button maps to what control so I'm just giving the PS3 pad inputs because it's midnight and I need sleep.

Square, Square, Triangle, uppercut, standing dash did less damage than the same combo without the uppercut (think it was 1% more damage by dropping the uppercut). Yes it's a terrible combo anyway, but was surprising how much the added uppercut dropped the damage by.

Or maybe I was being a moron and it wasn't at all.

Yeah, same with juggles off of naked uppercuts.. they seem to do pretty low damage.

Pterodactyl

Plus on block.
One of his combos is named "Die Hard" fucking great.

Out of the three demo characters he's definitely the funnest and coolest.

His win pose is baller as well.

I still don't really get how juggle combos in this game work.

I like how his footsies seem to work pretty well. Looks pretty good at catching dashes and jumps, and set up potential is nasty.

Wish I could do a combo more than 30 something though. :(

Hidden missiles are blockable. Laser isn't.
really? Low or overhead or both? At least 112 hidden missiles should set up a 50/50 then. IF they hit low or overhead, lawl unblockables? idk man, practicing this stuff without a legit training mode is worthless lol

There's a moves list with frame data and such. Says the meter burn of laser(missiles) is overhead. :)

More work with Lex, still seems weakest of the three. Constant need to spam trait in order to set up combos on ultra hard atm. Dooable, but way more difficult than WW and Bats atm.

dont get overly crazy with the movesets and frame data. this build is like 7 months old.

Curious..I wonder if you can do a B1(hits low) in time while his missiles hit and confirm into gravity pull.

Can someone test this for me? Currently away from console.

LEGEND

YES!
Is lex broken? Are his laser and missiles unblockable or something?
i think he's garbage, Uber slow in everything he does and has a huge ass hitbox. Normals have decent range but his only good string can be ducked and punished. Up close game is basically non-existent. His ram is good, though it is full combo punishable on block. his trait adds only one hit of armor so quick D1s, pokes or multi hit moves deal with it easily, again only useful on knockdown cause you can hit him with anything on reaction to its start-up which will get rid of the armor and still deal damage to him

Highlights are his knockdown setups and corner shenanigens. His air axe is also good i guess but its pretty predictable

if his resets end up dealing a ton of damage then he could possibly be viable but atm he's not very good

my 2 cents

People saying Lex is slow need to look at his entire moveset. He has a 6 frame rush, a 6 frame pseudo lancher, a 7 frame d1 that combos into Gravity Pull, an 8 frame jab combo starter, and a 14-frame safe low combo starter. You just can't show up and mash random buttons, but speed is not really his issue.

Lex is the best character in the demo-
As in, farthest from the worst.
He has the strongest zoning-
And many mindgames that can be initiated through this zoning-
even things as simple as the Corp Charge being mixed with the high and low projectiles can effectively fuck with an opponent's mind- and lead to tons of damage for the Lex player.
I don't even have combos yet, but Lex still has the best tools of any- enough for me to confirm my hypothesis this already.
Landing a Corp charge places the opponent in perfect range for another corp charge, or a safe straight projectile-
and there's enough time to initiate that un-blockable laser, and then push the opponent towards that laser with another corp charge.
His trait is abysmal, though.
By far the worst, even though Wonder Woman's shield sword stance seems quite inferior to her whip.

Pterodactyl

Plus on block.
Thats not what i'm saying, i'm saying Lex is a zoner(kinda), his shield being ridiculous(or as goods as DD's) would kind of be unfair.

Doesn't his shield have levels to it? I assume the last level of it is pretty good.

Well it's hard to see what frames his moves are because the menu text is unreadable. Needs to be way bigger imo, not everyone has or wants a big screen HDTV for fighting games.
