Not all moves can be linked off of D1 so i would gather that they thought of certain links that would be kinda broken and plan to not allow them

so to me this means they planned D1s to combo into specials in the final build
ah right i see. thanks for the info

also the bestting system where you trade meter, to initiate that do you use meter ? and can you activate it whilst your getting owned from an opponents combo. so in other words can you escape initiating that, lastly how do you think doomsday will play much like grundy
The clash system doesnt take meter to initiate. Its a one use thing that each player gets on their second health bar. And ya you use it to interrupt your opp's combo, its like a breaker

Links you say?

So Injustice has the usual sequnced combo's that can be combo'd with
Pop Ups
Links
Wall Bounces
Freezes/Traps
Roman Cancles?

Fuck me theres gonna be some crazy combo's in the making

how does the "wagering" aspet of it come into play? Is it blind wagering?

I swear its the only thing that confuses me so far... Like cant I see how much the other guy wagers ?

you spend 1-4 bars of your meter (if you have it) and your opp does the same. The winner gets health back or deals damage based on how many more bars he spent than the loser

so if you don't have a comparable amount of meter to your opp i wouldn't use the clash

So lets say you both have full meter, when the clash initiates, You would input x for 1 bar, y for 2 bars, a for 3 bars and b for 4.
So 1=1 2=2 ect

Is there ever a reason not to wager as much meter as you have, or at least as much as your opponent has? What happens if you don't wager in time?

on a somewhat even playing field where you only have a bar or two less than your opp and you still have more than half health using the clash to break the start of a combo still seems more than worth it

actually nevermind about more than have health. that doesnt matter

If you don't choose a wager option, is that like wagering 0 meter?

And is there some sort of meter-difference-to-health ratio, as far as clash-based damage and healing go?

i think its 11% per bar. idk for sure though. it may cap at 33%

if you don't input anything during the wager than you don't lose any meter

I thought Waging only really affected the player who started it. Nothing happens to the offensive players life bar even if he guesses wrong, the defender, the guy who was in the combo, who started the breaker, can either win, and regain health, or lose and still lose damage as if he was still in the combo.

So if you don't care if your opponent regain healths, you can just bet zero, he'll be free of your combo, and he gains some life at the cost of meter, but he can't do it ever again.
