Match-up Discussion Johnny Cage Mu chart

If I time a jip on a cross up your not getting a standing 2 anti trust me dude ive tried online/offline. Technically speaking no d1/standing 1/2 of any character will work if you time the JIP correctly and ive got that down. @gga wafflez please tell this guy how good I am at stuff cross over anti airs. Only garanteed anti air cross overs are jax's grab, rax's grab, ex moves like ex nomad dash or shoulder charge or anything else thats faster than 12 frames and thats prolly it. NJP will work though because for some reason it has priority over jip. Only thing that beats it is a instant jump kick which is not a thing people usually do.

Ok you've played dizzy's cage but not mine. I play that match so patiently. You shouldn't be stating that its 5-5 because you havent played cages like mine and maxter. No matter how successful dizzy is he is not us. Just keep that in mind.

Dizzy's Cage is light years above any Cage at this point in the game. I'd like to see what his mu chart looks like.

I wont argue Dizzy`s Cage is ultra awesome but Maxter and Curbo are rly good with him too. They re just playing different styles.

True, but both of them counter bad mu's with other character while Dizzy fights Cage's toughest matches and makes them look 5-5 besides Kenshi of course. That just seems unwinnable.

My only complaint is Kano. Personally I'd say he 5-5's with Cage. He can outzone him like nobodies business with knife & hz ball spam. Cage can't jump either or he will eat a knife hz ball combo for 30+%,or a downball choke to pressure/crossover/50-50 set up. Knives are fast enough to bait a red kick. And Kano can get out of f3 with pokes as well as 11 strings not working b/c of up ball.

sorry bruh, but dizzy > you with cage. He has the results and resume to prove it. You keep underestimating characters, you'll regret that when a char you underestimate winds up eliminating you. Also maxter's best char is cyrax, he plays a high lvl cage, but he goes to maxter when it gets clutch.

believe me i could zone cage easily. I just think you guys havent fought alot of good ermacs.
its basically like this ermac wins if he keeps him out, johnny wins if he touches him. And a smart ermac controls space and postioning very carefully, using his meter to stay out of the corner.

look at it like this, if kenshi has an advantage, ermac has gotta be even.
what does cage have on ermac's zoning? Red kick? full combo punishable on block and on hit sends me where i wanna be, away from cage? and if he doesn't have full meter now he doesn't have breaker, bad idea against ermac.
all you have to do is play it similarly to how pig played kenshi vs curbo. avoid giving him a a knockdown to get close, this means unbreakerable damage. make him have to dash block to get to you, watch out for djk. while hes doing this the ermac player has to walk backwards to buy time and make it harder for him to position that djk. ermac has the 3rd fastest walk speed in the game btw.
he also has the longest range grab in the game and it sends you full screen. and to slow down an impeding dash blocker an ermac player might be walking back ward than all of a sudden dash forward to throw him or f4 him into a throw settup. when you start dashing in without blocking.. ill make it look like im gonna throw you by dashing in, but guess what i force pushed you at point blank. if u decide to jump in standing 1 owns hard bro.
standing 1, lift, forcepush 20% unbreakerable damage and you're full screen. and you can bet ill breaker and start walking backward if u ever get in too.

You can't put 13 and F33 in the same bag. 1 hits high. Only way to effectively land them is from a nutpunch I guess.
You don't know a thing. No one does F33EX Forceballs without a jip because they whiff on crouch. So, of course the 1 won't whiff if they jip = they're in the same bag.

dude people need to stop downplaying ermacs tools in this matchup. his only drawback is no armor. but he makes up for it with strong zoning, good rushdown, and a long range throw.

Time & time I see someone explain a zoner vs. Cage mu like this & so I will reply with the same thing everyone says,

in that case: Kenshi v Cage would be 5-5. Kabal v Cage is 5-5 etc.

What I'm saying is that 1 hits high while F3 hits both crouching and standing. You are blind if you compare F3's range to 1.

If f33 is blocked you can confirm if they are standing and do ex FB in open space. Its not just for off jips.

13 ex fb and f2 ex fb are both only possible off nut punch for the most part. So it is applicable.

Just coming in to clarify as yes, it does matter.
