So what's going on at GU now? Is there a decent MK scene on Friday fight nights? I'd like to level up my Sektor now that schools done, so if I'm free I can see if I can make it.

MK is always on, but it's usually just something people play when they're taking a break from SF. Next fight night I'm going to stick to MK for as long as possible, hopefully more than a couple people will want in on some games and I won't be drawn away by the excitement over SF.

FYI, there won't be a fight night this coming Friday. LuckyD said there would probably be one on the following Tuesday (Tuesdays were temporarily suspended for the month of May), if not the following Friday for sure.

Word. Now that I'm done with school I'm hoping to make it out to both GU and SouperBowl pretty frequently. Also, a friend of mine is also into MK and my roommate wants to learn, so I've been thinking of having some kind of casual event at my place in Boston sometime soon. You guys are more than welcome to come out for that if you're interested. We also play VF if any of you are into that as well.

Hey guys. I'm very, very new to the official fighting game community thing, but I've always loved Mortal Kombat and am in love with this latest release. NRS fucking nailed it. Anyways, I'm looking to get something started in the Brockton, MA area (about 25-35 minutes from Boston depending on traffic). Right now I play with about 5 other people in my friends cirlce regularly, and am slowly increasing that number through word of mouth, facebook events, etc. I'm going to start holding casuals at my house and hope it catches on. There is a place in Abington called Battleground: Games and Hobbies I go to for all my DnD and MTG needs which I noticed used to hold a variety of videogame tournaments and casuals from time to time. I'm hoping that if we can get enough people into it around here, I can convince the owner to hold some MK9 stuff. Just figured I'd post my idea here in hopes that someone from the area will see it. Thanks! =)

Awwwh damn.
I go to GU on fridays. Former SF player and am loving MK right now. Problem is there aren't many MK players that go, but I always bring my copy of MK9. Its always running, but sadly I spent most of my time this friday in training mode because nobody would play. :/ The guy who runs it LuckyD is really good at mk, besides that..not much competition. Its not open this friday because the owners are getting married, but I might go the week after! Hope I can see some of you guys there.

I'm planning on checking out Souper Bowl in Lowell tonight, some other MK players in the area should come down as well!

NuSix, how was it? If I hear good things I will definitely go to the next Souper Bowl fight night. (This week has been busy) :(

It was fun. My only complaint is they were playing on an unpatched 360 and I'm just not comfortable playing on anything other than a ps3 pad. Going to be awhile before I get used to playing it on a stick, dashing is such an issue that I can't play footsies at all.

hey man, I'm not sure i got to say hi but i was the sektor player from last night. just wanted to let you know that usually everything is updated and shit when it comes to the games but that was just a freak occurence. Also we usually do play MK on PS3 (this is because we usually put SF4 on xbox) but the person who brought the ps3 forgot his mk.

Due to financial issues, I haven't been making it to GU lately. MK in Western MA is still very much in effect. Our scene is pretty much me, blueNINE, Phoenix, Justo, Zoob, and Zorin. If anyone one wants games in the Springfield area on days that GU, PWA, and Souper Bowl aren't happening, hit me up. I'd rather not netplay since the netcode is kinda ass.

You should get one of these when it comes back in stock. I'd like one for myself as well since 360 pad is asscheeks.

Good game NuSix3 i was the reptile player there... but anyways like CP said we usually got every system up to date next time we should be good.

I'll bring a PS3, if will it take HDMI hookups. Does anyone know if their set-ups take HDMI? If not someone will need to bring an AV cable... if anyone has any 1st hand knowledge lemme know.

I have some AV cables for PS3 in my car at all times for some raisin. So I got your covered, they have a bunch of CRTs and two projectors.

I'll also be streaming folks, probably the SSFIV Danisen League if there are enough players, but we'll see where the money is.

Sorry Nusix3! I updated all my xboxs for MK and I could get online if that whole offline-patch issue is still going on. If the PS3 owners bring their copies of MK, then we won't have to worry about it!

Wow it almost feels like there is a community growing here.... lots of new posts :)

Anyways, as for what i said about the 360 version - as Kona mentioned it's really my problem for not investing into a converter so I hope nobody took that the wrong way. It doesn't seem like anyone did but I'm throwing it out there just in case. So no apologies necessary, I should have phrased my original post differently.

I usually bring a copy of SFIV, MvC3, Soul Calibur, MK and T6 for ps3 to GU every time I go just in-case. I'd bring a ps3 too if one of my USB ports wasn't busted (disclaimer, if anyone wants to sell a used ps3 I'm looking to buy one strictly for traveling around). Next Souper Bowl night I'll be sure to do that.

About Pinball Wizard on Tuesday, I usually make the trip down to Framingham since I know I'll be able to get a little T6 and maybe even some Soul Calibur in, but I'll probably make an exception this coming Tuesday just to check it out. I'll bring my games as well.

Also if anyone wants to play online send a friend request to NuSix3 on PSN. I'll play anything, even though I particularly suck at 2d fighters I'm looking to get better.

I'd love to see some Stryker action! I've only seen you play Scorpion so this should be super interesting.

Hello Gentlemen, I'm Fraga and I live in Southbury, CT (About 40 minutes from Hartford, 15 minutes from Danbury, South-Western CT). I just registered and I'm looking forward to playing and meeting you all!

That being said, thanks Why for helping me learn Baraka last Saturday, I'll be getting my copy of MK9 pretty soon so I can keep practicing

Kona, are you the dude I played against in the GU tournament who played as Kitana? To everybody else going, feel free to say hi to the almost bald dude... I'd like to meet some of the community around here.
