Southwick, MA person here! (That's Western MA, near Springfield)

I've been poking around at MK9 for a few days now (Even though I've owned it since launch day) and I'm growing an interest in it. My past experience with fighters is...well, not amazing. I've spent a year and a half on competitive Brawl, which I know is somewhat a joke fighter to many, but having been to around 20 tournaments I continue to keep interest because the scene and friendships I've made are well worth it. I then tried to get in to MvC3 for a while, but couldn't keep up with it. Annnd...that's it. That's all my competitive fighting game experience!

So here I am, playing MK9 because of a local friend sitting me down and playing it competitively. If I continue practicing and start to feel a little better about my skills, maybe I'll hit one of you Western MA locals up to meet and play. Do note, I have serious motivational problems when it comes to doing new things, so if you actually want to get to know me and play/train in person, you should probably force me to do so at first :p

To everyone i played last night it was nice to see a community for this game. I especially like the matchup exp i played a striker a kabal ermac etc. Ill see you all soon im sure !


COME TO LOWELL MA to SOUPER BOWL on middlesex st tonight if yoru intrested in continuing to level up, many good players some of which were not even there last night, take care all and as always STAY SALTY ;)

I didn't even know that VT played fighters, the only time i have ever scene it was a couple kids who played then left the tounry after they lost one match and drove 3 hours back shit was CRAZY !

Yeah - GGS man. I didn't know you were on the site. They introduced themselves to me last night, so I knew they posted here.

Your Kung was very good - I need some good offline practice. Online I hold my own much better then offline :) It is a whole new world. That will change overtime though - now that I know about Pinball Wizard and Souperbowl.

Offline is definitely a whole new world, I picked up allot of stupid habits from playing online as much as I did, Really happy that theres a Good community of a decent size around here :)

Hey i know this may sound weird but springfield is about as close as i can get around here to getting games together, i live in Albany, NY but i could make the trip if it means ill meet new players!

I'm going to be out of town until Sunday, but if anybody is in Boston or close by I'd be down to have a couple of people over to my place sometime next week for some casuals. I'm also hoping to make it out to SouperBowl next week, so I hope to meet some of you there!

We have a thursday night ranbat for ssf4 mvc3 and mk9 with alot of peeps showing up, in case anyone around western mass is interested!

Yo, Tales here saying I finally bothered to get an account on TYM. I live in Western Mass and am primarily a GG player, but MK9 seems fun.
