My Impressions of MLG Dallas

On a serious note, here are my impressions:

1. The venue. I felt like I was in Heaven. Never wanted to leave there. It blew my experience at EVO right out of the water. I loved the vibes everyone brought!
2. Getting to meet Lord B W1zZ at long last so I could bow before the almighty God of Thunder...oh, and I got to sign his straw hat. So awesome.
3. Getting asked to sign an MK9 poster just leaves you with this awesome feeling that you've inspired somebody.
4. Look at me, I can multi-task by commentating and fighting at the same time! Wow, wow, wow.
5. Joker8417 is a scrub.
6. Pig Of The Hut is so much like me when I rage! It is absolutely hilarious watching it from a spectator's point of view.
7. Security at the hotel is no fun. They no wanna let us be loud-ass motherfuckers, so our hype wasn't as heavy as it should be!
8. Apparently, I and some other MK players are capable of staying up for over 24 hours doing absolutely nothing except playing each other in MK and talking about it. I almost passed out in the venue on Sunday, but jumped back to life as soon as we started the team tournament.
9. Wonder_Chef showing me some new stuff with Sonya. He's definitely become like a mentor to me and I do appreciate him for that. This is NOT a troll.
10. I actually agreed to play a money match when I initially said I wasn't a gambler by nature. I guess the temptation became too much. By the way, GREAT games to Winter Warz.
11. Pig's pop-offs on stage. I officially concede that his celebratory routines are unrivaled.
12. Watching Tekken Tag 2 on stage actually made me want to play the game more...just not as much as MK9.
13. Surprising TylerLantern when he didn't recognize me. After three long years, he finally comes out of hiding so I can give him a beatdown. DAAAAAAAAAAAAMN. But it was great for two fellow Lanterns to finally meet.
14. Meeting everyone from this community. I hadn't seen a lot of you since Vegas.
15. Getting to play a lot of players who have established impressive records around the country. I hope I have left a good impression.
16. Watching Tom Brady and REO arguing over match-ups never gets old.

That's all I can think of for now.

4) Lulzlou is beautiful and he sold his soul to Satanas to have that impossible hair. Also thanks for the Kabal MU walkthrough and being a cool dude overall, it was really nice to meet you. Kabal is still broken lol.
5) Billstickerses actually exists and the dude calling the names couldn't pronounce it.
6) Joker is a million times cooler in person. And he's definitely one of the best Reptiles in the world. GET BABIED BRAH! And add me on facebook go.
7) Showtime turned out being a really nice guy, and I look forward to picking Kenshi against his Sonya in our next tournament match LOL.
8) I met Day9. I came.
9) Claude is legit yoh.
10) Jer and Zaf didn't bring maple syrup nor moose. I am disappoint.
11) I brought a girl into a room full of people and nobody talked to her. Nice job nerds.
12) BF2 all day long, people will think you're good
13) Wonderchef smells delish.
14) I never got to play against Bwizz next time I guess, cool dude nontheless.
15) White fudge pretzels are the best (around). 7 dollar minipizzas are a scam and they should be ashamed.
16) Never let a random black guy give you a tour about the Kennedy assasination. He's a scammer, his name is Miguel.
17) BamerGlake can get real salty, and I'm actually bigger than him. That was surprising.
18) Being mexican is a cool gimmick. If you don't want people to tak to you just say 'no hablo inglés'.
19) The dominican brothers are awesome, and the mexican dub of dbz is the best.
20) J360 can body anyone with csz without even looking at the screen lol.
21) If you have a hitbox, prepare to answer a ton of questions about what that is.
22) Fuck you McDonalds.
23) RIP my headphones and my ipad cover.
24) Never trust your hotel's internet service. It -will- fail in your hour of need.
25) Tom Brady communicates through rants.
26) It was nice meeting you all and knowing you're more than random internet people. K7, grieivffskiiefer, Dltoro, Zoiberg, BlackBryan, Astronout, Glass sword, Tyler Fagterm NO DONT SAY ANYTHING, and everyone else I missed.

Sorry if I forgot anyone, the 23 hour drive (plus 2 hours to return the rental car) beat the shit out of me. I slept 16 hours last night...



Also everyone, be aware that you need to know how to best fight the people from your area.

In all of my MLG matches I have had a total of 2 byes, 4 games against people from other areas, and 4 games against people from my area. Be prepared.

MLG Dallas was great. Here is my list of stuff.

1. One of the coolest things the entire trip was playing Tag Mode with me and @BWizz vs Reno_Racks and Madzin. Those matches were fun and epic.

2. I did not recognize GamerBlake90 when I saw him. Instead I thought I was talking to a 12 year old who was lost.....just kidding Blake lol, it was cool to finally meet you.

3. Finally got to play Cossner offline, and since he likes to complain that the only reason he loses to me online is because of lag, I had to show him otherwise. Him losing the first time 7-1 with babies on Friday night and THEN losing again 5-1 on Saturday night, and in the last match, I got the Babality, and he offline Rage Quits so I cant baby him lol. All laughing aside, Cossner is a cool guy.

4. Even though he was at Raleigh, I did not even get to play rev0lver until Dallas. His Kitana is deadly. He knows the Reptile match up well, so I had to break out Kenshi and then I started taking wins, but trust me when I say, this guy is Top 8 material.

5. Thursday night me and Pig Of The Hut walked to McDonalds and had to walk down a dark street, where a random guy tried to sell us drugs lol. Also, Pig was very cool to let so many people into his room to play casuals.

6. Hanging with CptXecution was awesome, real stand up guy. I don't even think we played casuals, yet we hung out a lot during the tournament lol. Next time, we have to get some games in.

7. A few of us walked into Subway like 15 minutes before they closed one night, and the woman looked really pissed. It was me, Wonder _Chef, GamerBlake90, CptXecution, and a few other guys. That was probably the best meal I had on the trip, as everything else I ate sucked.

8. It was cool to meet Wonder_Chef. Really cool guy. This guy can seriously play the entire cast of MK. Next time we have to get more games in.

9. Madzin - I really didn't know what to expect when I met this guy, but he turned out to be one of the coolest, most down to earth guys I have ever met. We hung out a lot during the tournament, and we also had some amazing games. For those wondering how our games went, for the most part they went back and forth on wins just like our online matches. He would win some, I would win some. All in all though, it was really cool of him to make it out to the US for this tournament all the way from Germany. I hope he can make it other majors.

10. Reno_Racks - Hanging with this guy is always a blast. We have hung out at a few other tournaments, and Battle & Brews, etc. This guy would give the shirt off his back to help someone. Playing him in casuals was great, his Rain is on another level. Not many people main Rain, and this guy does it with mad skill.

11. STB Goldfish - This girl is a really cool chica, and her cosplay outfits completely rocked. iIt was funny seeing a random weirdo follow her around the day she was dressed as Jade lol. But yeah, she is definitely one of the coolest people I talked to all weekend.

Everyone else I hung out with, if I didn't mention you above I apologize. I had a great time with everyone I hung out with and I have to say this was one of the most fun MK events I have been to yet.
