anyway back on topic i wish i could of made it out to dallas >:O you are all very lucky if any of you tries to say you had a bad time try watching the stream with commercials every fucking 20 seconds & ttt2 going past schedule and taking up MK time!!

I honestly think the part of our community that travels to tournaments is pretty much past things like giving people shit for using Kabal and a hitbox. Besides, your hitbox is way too #swag to hate.

This tournament was a blast and has inspired me to put some time into training mode when I get the chance. Also I am going to try to get my internet upgraded were I can actually connect to PSN and play MK. Third I really need to level up since I represent the entire state of Alabama on my own and if I stay free Alabama stays free.

For me this was an opportunity to see where I am at skill wise more or less. I was actually considering not going to Dallas because I was being emo about some casuals I had with KingHippo beforehand, but since then I have rethought a lot of things including my own strategy and mindset when it comes to tournaments, and free'd myself of emo-ness.

I find I deal with the whole tournament nerve thing a lot better than I used to or don't get as nervous being on stage or stream, therefore I know I can get into the zone when I need to. I feel I didn't thorougly think through my match Vs. Maxter, I figured I would save the mental energy to focus on the match instead of sapping myself worrying about it beforehand, but I should have planned a bit more than I did, however Maxter didn't exactly take the series for free. I played Denzel's Cyrax in a shitload of casuals beforehand but there were a few minor kinks in my gameplay that I didn't work out in time.

There were a few obscure matchups that I haven't really practiced in a long time, such as Skarlet, so I wasn't exactly prepared to go up against scar's.

The only time I really got salty was at the very end where pokchop beat me in a match on stream during that team battle...mainly salty because I knew I had the match, but at the very end I dropped a combo that I never drop, and he started popping off. I'm over the salt now though, I just know it wont happen again.

Anyways I discovered I can hold my own against and/or beat top players like MIT, DJT, DAB, Gross, and the Kombat Houston guys, just to name a few. Didn't get around to playing any dominicans in casuals this time around. Overall it was a great tournament, great experience.

aside from begging the hotel security not to kick us out due to having 30+ players squezed in my room for casuals, the whole tournament was a blast. i put faces on the names and had a great time playing all the high lvl guys

I started having people sign it during the team battle on sunday so I missed some players like CDjr, J360, 16 bit, and several others I would have sign it. I want the whole rim of the hat to have a name in each square, so I'll have to get it completed in another major or two.

It was me, I'll own up to saying Kabal was broken after our match. Sorry if it had a detrimental affect on your outlook thereafter. Kabal is not broken.

Prior to MLG Dallas, I had zero match-up experience against a top-class Kabal player, and it became apparent to me this weekend that it was silly to expect--or hope--to win with such lack of experience.

I was mad because my first loss was at the hands of KH Cat's Kabal. He disassembled my Skarlet without breaking a sweat on Friday night, so I spent all day Saturday worrying about facing another derp with Kabal. You were my first and only match on Saturday. And you bodied me equally as bad.

I admit having a difficult time reconciling the huge margin of difficulty between Skarlet's iAD and Kabal's iAGB with my own--childish--sense of fairness. And the hitbox on the iAGB...wow! Nevertheless, Kabal beats Skarlet in the air and I was unable to adapt my play-style to suit the match-up. In the end, character selection is only a small part of winning. Well done man.

In case you don't remember, we ran casuals at ECT over the summer and I won the majority of our matchs (with Skarlet against your Kabal). You've clearly leveled-up since then, much more so than I, and you deserved to win in our match Saturday. Again, sorry if I took some of your mojo with my negative comment.

I knew you were a good Kabal. I kould tell from the few matches I played against you online.

You didn't rely on the Online abusable stuff.. How far did you end up getting?

I seriously didn't mean anything negative about my post. I also didn't get offended that you said that, it just brought me down because of how much time I put in the character. It could have been anyone that said that. I definitely wanted to get some games in but sadly I wasn't able to play everyone.

I know your pain though. Playing a Kabal with no experience in that mu is tough. I've played so many people that are just clueless in that match up. It was awesome that you kept trying to win, a lot of people would give up because they don't know what to do. Overall you comment didn't bring me down a lot. It was only for a little bit because I know kabal is fucked up, which makes people frustrated.

Thanks for the compliment man, I don't remember much about ect4. The summer was an awkward time for me and time flew by. I hope we can get to a same tournament again soon. I'll definitely help you out with that match up.

edit; I'm so damn tired so I don't know if this makes any sense. I'll fix it whenever I wake up lol
