Each character's best normal/string/special

I don't play Runescape
f3,3 is -4 on block, only can link into fb, overhead and nutpunch.
21f2 leads to good damage (over 40% on the wall and over 30 mid screen) and a nut punch reset. It's also safe.
Just like with Gas Blast vs Nomad Dash, I'm a bit wary of choosing. Maybe F3 (or D3) as best normal and 2, 1, F2 as best string? Any other opinions on this, Mike has some points

his best special is EX nut punch.

D3 is no where near as good as f3.

Gun shot and roll toss are both equally good...there is no reason why roll toss is much better than gun shot. Gun shot actually creates mix ups, controls the air and can lead to air combos in the 25-30% range and things of that nature. It's also only -1 on block or neutral if enhanced.

Roll toss is a good counterzoning move that does 12%. It's good for changing positions, as a combo ender and the enhanced is good for getting out of pressure.

One isn't really what I would call "better" than the other, they're just different. Those are his two best specials though.

Best strings, from my most experiences characters...
(Normals and specials = impossible to choose.)

Cyrax = 2 1's his best string.
Sub-Zero = 2 1 2's his best string, arguably.
Ermac = 3 1/3 1 2, without a doubt.
Kung Lao = 2 1 or 2 4.
Quan Chi = 2 1 2, far and wide.
just quoting to say 212 is extremely situational and the uses it has still make 22 the better string

for sonya i wouldnt put 2 1 as her best string. most sonya players rarely use that string except for when they hit a divekick.

i would say b2 1 (f2) is her best cause you can hit confirm the f2 into 45% dmg or if they block just go into MS for mix ups.

Baraka has kitana's d+1, so if she has it as her best normal, it's his best normal too.

Quan chi's best normal is his uppercut xd.

Imo KL's 2,1 string is better than 2,4, due to more metter gain and chip damage.

I'd say Kung Lao's best string is 2,1 over 2, 4 overhead. 2, 1 can be hit confirmed into spin (2,4 is stance specific), or extended into 2,1,2,1,2,1.

For all smoke scrubs (like RiBBz22) out there: smoke's best normal is d+4.
Any sane person will never block low vs smoke, so b+2 is useful only as a whiff punish and d+4 is kinda unblockable.
I highlighted important words for u, cuz i'm not sure u r clever enough to read the whole thing.

DragonPick, CSZ has some very good strings, and 95% of them cant be ducked. 22, 21, F1, F2, F22, F221, B1, B2, 33, 34....none of these can be ducked, not even by Mileena. The only string that can be ducked is 11 but if you do 111 the last 1 hits. A lot of his strings are safe on block. Yes, some of his strings can be interupted before a parrot jumps in, like 22 1+2 but if you think they will try that, just pause after 22 for the bait, and incidently, 22, 1+2 is also safe on block.

His specials are very risky and not to be done up close unless you know you will hit. His dive kick is probably his best special, instant air short divekick is something like 5 frames, something many dont know. Parry can be very powerful if you arent predictable....1 frame start up!

Some of Kano's strings are quite good. B11, F11, B1, F1, 212, are all good. His kick normals are pretty unsafe. B112 can be interupted, but again, you have to have pretty good reactions, and b112 leads to full combo.

I have both listed now, but I'd like to narrow it down soon

That overhead is SOOOOOO easy to block on reaction.Even if you do use it in pressure somehow.
But isn't it his only special cancleable overhead?

Jade has no single best string, all her normals are garbage. If I had to pick a best string it'd be b32.

I think b2 may be the best whiff punisher in the game because of how much space it closes. Thanks for the shout out!

Well, agreed, but still d+4 is much more useful imo.
Don't worry it's OK to be wrong. D4 is really good but without B2 D4 would honestly be a lot worse. They work as a team since you have to respect the b2 when d4 hits.
