General Injustice Video Discussion Thread.


I think that video is decent as well. Basically nothing new, but at least we can see the amazing FOS stage in high quality :)

Whoa, from that thumbnail it looked like Jackie Estacado was in Injustice but that was just the Darksiders portion.

Another interesting thing, from the Grundy video, Harley has a move called "tortoise stance" at least I think that's what its called, which explains her shooting guns on the ground.

She's got a low hitting special (db3 for now), where she kicks the opponents legs out as she jumps to her stomach. Then you can hold down on the controller which makes her stay on the ground on her stomach as she swings her feet and pouts. From this you can do different attacks, roll out, or getup.

I wouldn't get too hung up on the movelist names. Most are there just so they have something, some might stay, some might not.

At 0:35 in the Harley Quinn vs Grundy video she does a drop kick that connects with Solomon Grundy's legs, lands on her stomach and then rolls forward. Is that what you're talking about?

Is Harley Quinn the only character with a forward roll? Can you divulge any information on the wakeup system?

Harley Quinn's tortoise stance sounds a lot like Brad Wong's ground stance in DOA4. I used that a lot on folks, but without a sidestep option with it that thing had better have some good speed on leaving its stance or on its attacks because its unusable against a lot of folks. Grundy has seismo/swamp hands, Nightwing has ground spark and jump wingdings, and Superman and the lasers just to name a few characters who make the stance invalid. Brad could use it since all he needed was to roll to the side and pop his stuff and you never knew which way to sidestep when he went into it, but this game doesn't have that. Not certain how it will work, but I'm interested in more.
 
Good interview. Judging by the hints on the story Lex Luthor will be the good guys, while trying to stop the evil heroes!

Am I the only one who would prefer not having the wager-mode (or hell, maybe even the combo-breakers) in this game, simply to be able to do more fancy superhero like damage-combo-moves with the meter?

A video with some impression from some dude who played it at pax. Batman vs Nightwing, then Flash vs Batman.
Two things somewhat new from this video.
Nightwings pole vault kick that was in a trailer is an actual move, some people thought it was connected to his stage interaction, but he does it by itself.
Also batman's super has way more range then I thought it would, its basically Smoke's smoke bomb.

Flash's corner pressure is going to be insane with that lightning kick overhead being so fast and with his low sweep being so good. I'm wondering if I could get you in block string and finish with sweep into lightning kick for a high low mixup? The sweep should reach given its range even at the tail end of a block string as my most ranged strike, but lightning kick looks like it moves him forward a little. My hope is that I can kara the sweep into the lightning kick so that I can get a sweep canceled into the lightning kick that advances me back toward them once I push out to far from the block string. Likely sweep will have enough recovery to make certain they aren't stuck in block stun from it for a free lightning kick overhead since this would be pretty stupid cheap. A high low Kara mixup would be ridiculous if the sweep could be cancelled at all after it connected really. Still if I ever get near an early build I'm going to run this setup and see if they remembered to cover their bases on mixups like this.

Also Batman's smoke bomb analogy is really really spot on from the way it looks. Smoke is the guy I've been studying online since I love his gimmick of teleporting his opponent. Here's hoping I get time to pickup and get into MK soon in between my studio work and portfolio build up.

^ ... for me the first time I saw that video, but it is very interesting.

1. He talks about their focus to give the characters abilities to get out of the dangerous corner pressure, when they get caught there.
2. Doesn't know how to answer to a Aquaman question and only says "No Comment" after thinking for a while. It's basically an Aquaman-confirmation.
3. Talks about how the guys who work on the game are hardcore gamers and that they don't think about DLC plans and how to monetize by abusing it, but that they will try to fit as much content as possible into the game as they have time and later on, if someone has good ideas, they will continue to work on it.
