This THREAD is pointless. And this particular post is just inane. MK needs Scorpion, Sub Zero, Raiden, etc; as proven with MK 3. This was just a bad attempt across all the boards. Its only a "silly" argument because yall have legit reason as to why we need female characters, as Ive said in this thread previously.

People are getting heated in this thread.

The bottom line when it comes to guest characters is simple - will it make money? If the answer is no, then that's why they haven't been a guest character. Some of the suggestions in this thread are absurd. Characters like Predator and Jason are chosen because they're massively popular and sell copies of the game to those who may not have bought the game otherwise.

I could argue that literally no character in MK and guests for that matter are a MUST. With MK’s current popularity the game could easily thrive without Scorpion and Subzero.

It might not be a need for you, but for others it might be. You can’t always decide for other people what a priority is for them. Personally I think a female guest character would be cool to switch things up instead of always male characters. It’s okay for fans to want and need that. Just because you don’t want it doesn’t mean it’s okay for you to dismiss what others want and need. I think you need an attitude check.

Anyways…
I think the reason WHY we haven’t had any female guests yet is either because deals didn’t fall through or that the creators just didn’t think of them and prioritised other guests.

@John Grizzly didn't say that at all.
There's plenty of money makers still out there they can use. Some of the requests in here don't have as large a following as a Spawn or a Leatherface.

Like it or not it's a business at the end of the day and they want money. So they will absolutely go the route they believe will make them the most money.

Homelander, Peacemaker, and Omni Man are huge right now. All have successfully shows and are currently drawing in a lot of people. It's a no brainer they'd want in on that cake.

There's plenty of guests I'd like to see that I probably never will because they just don't have that same popularity.

Edit: A few that come to mind for me are Cammy, Aeon Flux, V (For Vendetta) and Donnie Darko

If that's not what they meant they worded it wrong. There's plenty of reasons a certain person hasn't made it as a guest yet beyond that.

There's women in pop culture who are as "huge" as Spawn or Leatherface. Why would every request need to have a large following people are just suggesting ideas.

Not sure why you're informing people of things I'm sure everyone already knows.

At no point in that post was it stated that every single money maker has been used, as you are suggesting. What was stated was that if it isn't going to make money it probably won't be used.
Those are two very, very different things. If there were no money makers left we wouldn't have Homelander, Peacemaker, and Omni Man. We'd have a game with no guest characters if that were the case

Nope, literally phrased it as a question. Again there's lots of guest character that can make money that haven't been used, so there was a potential insinuation that the reason we haven't got a female guest is because they don't make money.

And there's plenty of money makers they could chose beyond those 3
