Elden Ring (DLC Announced!)

Level 58. Going for more of a quality build, but focusing on STR more, at least right now. Here’s a quick clip of the 3 main weapons I’m using (aside from the Longbow and the Clawmark Seal)

Spoiler: Hot tip I discovered on accident while in a catacombs.

Hitting stone enemies like the gargoyle imps or the watchdog bosses with a Crystal Dart (throwing knife) causes them to become confused and attack each other. I hadn't seen this status effect before.

Haven't been able to get it to happen via magic damage other than these darts so far, but definitely handy.

Anyone else worried they may have over leveled? The 3 main bosses so far have been pretty easy, I hope the rest are just down right nasty.

42 and I am scared to lvl anymore just spent 70k on spells and smith stones cuz I have no idea where I am supposed to be lvl wise.

I FINALLY beat the Valiant Gargoyles

literally the most annoying fight ever. That AOE does a crap ton of damage AND it's range is ridiculous too. Sheesh.

I switched to a bloodblade build on my Samurai, going Dex/Arcane and it's actually insane. I just melt bosses with blood slash and bleeding buildup.

The fight wasnt bad and got a super good great sword. I wish there was as many katana's as GS's been using the same one whole game. Have not got to that one yet but it sounds like a pain in the ass. Any time there is 2 I suck at controlling the camera and dodging. Sounds annoying like the

Volcano manor basement fight with 2 abducter's both swinging chains and have command grabs.

I have been thinking about doing some sorcery with sam. I would need to lvl up though really do not want to waste my rebirth if they are limited. I just found a helmet that gives you +8 arc actually dont know if that is useful or not

Silver tear mask Mimic Tear boss in Nokron, Eternal City

Another thing that made me feel stupid is I just learned you have to use a epic rune item to get the benefits of your equipped great rune. Been gimping myself the whole time lol.

Working on this fight now but I think I can take it at 42

Astel, Naturalborn of the Void. Dude has 4 moves that 1 shot me Including a explosion into teleport from behind 1 shot command grab...and he is resistant to bleed so makes it way more annoying. Wanted to post a pic of boss but can't seem to get them to work in spoiler tags

Have y’all realized that there’s tons of iframes when getting on your horse? There’s even some when getting off of your horse as well. This is super beneficial for fighting the certain bosses or tough enemies where you can you your horse.

Finally got the katana I wanted I don't think its the best one buts it dope. Probably one of my favorite games ever! I have not cracked out on a game like this in ages. Game made me download OBS and record some clips.

Godrick was pretty easy for me, beat him first try with the beast of a weapon called the “Grafted Blade Greatsword”. Yes, a sword made of swords!



Was actually a bit disappointed in how easy he was. Hopefully there’s a bunch more main story cutscene bosses down the line. I will say tho… been doing so many other things than the “main story”, that I was already 30 hrs in when I beat Godrick. Speaking of Godrick, I will say…

Him having two-stages was dope, especially the cut scene for it.

Very very cool design and overall cool boss in general. It’s just after Margit, Godrick just seems like a much easier fight. Or maybe I’ve just gotten a lot better (which I unironically have gotten much better since that fight).

Anyway, this game continues to be FKN GODLIKE!

I just noticed tonight that using R1 while crouching will fire a roll attack without having to roll first, and some of them are pretty quick on otherwise slow weapons.

Some bosses, once posture broken, can be stun locked with this.

This game & world is so much more massive than I was anticipating. Like, I legitimately never would have guessed how insanely huge the open world is, and that’s not even counting all the underground stuff as well.

Not to be too hyperbolic, but I think I could play this game for the next 5 years and never get bored of it. ¯\(ツ)/¯

During that fight I was just using uchikatana but I rushed that dude for the Dragonscale blade and I ended up not liking it the weapon skill is so slow. It looks super dope though and does ice\lightning damage but only after you use the ws.

I got salty so I switched to the moonbeam katana and rebirthed. I went full int and lvled myself up to 62. It does stupid damage at +9 with a B scaling on int the ws hit like a truck.

I have heard of this bloodblade gonna check it maybe for my next respec I got like 7 tears left.

Game is giant for sure lots of stuff is easily missed. I don't know if they plan to add DLC to the game but that would be nuts if we got a couple more giant zones and a bunch more gear.

I can almost guarantee DLC will be added. Based on how popular the game is, and the fact that just about every Souls game has had incredible DLC added, I’d say it’s a pretty safe bet.

I've heard that From is already working on their next project. Although I would go crazy for some more Ashes of War and stuff.
Also the fact that this game had no preorder season pass that DS3 had, which leads me to wonder that they might not have plans for any DLC since they'd already be trying to sell it to us if they were.

That said, Sucker Punch also said no DLC for Ghost of Tsushima and that game ended up getting several massive updates for free, so who knows.

I just wanna say that I am delighted to announce this game fucking has my dreamboat weapon, and I now have it!
They FINALLY nailed whips. They're amazing now.

11/10 Elden Ring is my favourite Castlevania game.

Been wanting to try Moonveil but you can't use the ole bloody slash and bloodblade build so I think I'm just going to wait until I find Rivers of Blood.

It is fun but honestly a bit op, I am sure it will make a lot of fights trivial which I am not a fan of.

@Trustful_Whale Very good points about the DLC, I am happy either way with the $50 i spent. Dope character also that looks like a fun build to play.

@Jynks It is about time you showed up with your highly valued consensus on the game as we were all waiting with baited breath.

@Juggs I hope your right but Trustful made a good point. If they had plans for DLC they would be shoving some lame ass season pass edition down our throat before launch.

Season pass\dlc all the same type of shit to me. I didnt play much of DS3 so I don't know if they announced dlc before launch but I will take his word for it.

edit: misread trustful he said preorder dlc so I don't know if he meant it was announced before launch or after.

That said, they could still surprise us with some later (they did sprinkle a bit of extra goodies over Sekiro later on), but I get the feeling this is it.
