Afteraftermath leaks & rumors ... enter only with a huge grain of salt (Warning: Story Spoilers)

I know, a novel concept that WB/NRS seem incapable of grasping. Not planning on buying any guest characters, so that is money they are losing from me.

But guest dlc chars sold the most which is the reason it's continuing to happen...

I'm not mad about Kitana's Friendship, even if I want Mileena as a playable character. I get to see her playing with Kitana and that's awesome lol

I think at this point the only thing that's been proven is that the only trustworthy leaks are those taken from datamines or marketing leaks. There's so much hearsay and contradictory information floating around and "my dad's friend's half-cousin's roommate's cat has insider information" that the odds of any of them being genuine are low without evidence.

We're so close to Aftermath's release that speculation right now is superfluous. Let's wait until we can look at the files themselves next week before we start trusting people, regardless of their track record.

That said, we should prepare ourselves for the possibility that datamining aftermath won't produce a single new .EXP file, and that it doesn't necessarily mean nothing more is coming.

Honestly, I just don't see how Mileena has a chance. I remember someone asking a dev where Mileena was and they basically said that they wanted to do different characters, then another dev was asked about her and some other characters and he basically said that they weren't passionate about them right now.

Plus Kitana has her sai as a gear piece, has a Mileena-inspired variation, and now Mileena is an NPC in a Friendship.

I'll keep an open mind but much like the male ninjas and cyber ninjas, I think Mileena is on the list of highly unlikely characters.

Of course. But considering KP1 was leaked months before it was even confirmed to exist, and Aftermath will likely be the single biggest content update in MK11's current history, I'm pretty confident we'll see some kind of indicator. Like the certain character model relating to Aftermath that's already been pulled from the files.

At the very least, we can count on two things. First, the plot of Aftermath itself will either support or debunk several of the "leaks" that cropped up after its announcement. Second, we can track the "ASH" folder. If it gets pulled again, the "no Ash" leaks get support. If it stays, they become less reliable.

Not only that, but that isn't even Mileena. It's a recoloured Klassic Kitana skin. Probably didn't take more than 10 minutes to throw together.

Yeah, and even then it depends on how much of a role she actually has in the movie. If she's only in the movie for 5 minutes or something it still wouldn't really make sense to make her DLC. If she is actually in it for longer and/or they use her in a lot of marketing stuff, then yeah she has a decent chance of making it in. It really just depends on what direction they take the character and how important she actually is to the movie.

But them movie isn't out until 8 months from now, if it doesn't get delayed. So I'm more interested in hearing about the characters releasing before her because there is no way NRS waits almost a year without dropping a character if they really are supporting the game longer.
