The people losing to scoptions tp and such will still lose to the same players who pick another character and the bitching will continue full circle.
Personally I didn't really feel like getting caught by the teleport in and of itself was the problem, it's how you have to play knowing the teleport is a constant threat. I'm hoping that just due to sheer operant conditioning the players that used to throw out teleports everywhere will become pickier about when to use it after they get blown up enough so that I can actually play the game against Scorpion.
 
No idea. I have not labbed any of the changes such as whether Johnny Cage’s whiffing issues have been solved, or whether the Raijin changes for Raiden make a big difference. Same goes for some of the other changes. On paper, some changes seem really good while the lack of certain buffs to characters like Kano and Johnny’s KB requirements are puzzling.

Basically, gotta lab it first, as I reccommend all of you do.
They nerfed his main variation and his raijin low staff special has pop up. He will still never see wins or streaks in KOTH. Other characters have better tools and faster strikes.

I do see what your saying for sure, I may be wrong here but it being a high still is not bad unless you neutral duck and punish before the amp. I think it will still catch plenty of people though and people will still be salty when faced against a good scorpion who knows how to properly apply it.

He really, really isn't. Catbuffs don't mean shit. B223 still punishable between hits(just I guess some people can get a worse punish since its airborne now). Health buff is just an excuse to keep him bad.

In street fighter, whose always the better character, low health akuma, or high health zangief? Options > health. Except for D3 change nothing he got moves the needle at all.

Geras and erron got hella nerfed.

Altho the directions of the character were different than I'd expect, I'm pretty happy with the kotal changes. He can now jail from D1/D3, D3 is great in neutral, B223 was nerfed but totemic can make it safe vs a bunch of chars. More life vs lower life chars so those matchups are a lot easier. Cat is much better. Parry is much better, his 2 7-3s I think are no longer an issue.

Catbuffs mean you don't get punished for trying to wallcarry with cat. Cetrion also can't punish the cat in any way. We also have -3 divekicks.

B223 is more punishable, not just "still". Chars who couldn't punish in between hits bc of no 7f S1 can now just D1 and catch him airborne for a full combo, everyone can do it now.

Options > health is not a thing in MK11 because you don't have a ton of them, and kotal can now properly jail. I'll gladly slug it out with a damage and life nerfed jacqui vs an HP buffed kotal who can jail from his pokes and play better footsies. We don't have hard knockdowns into demonflip mixups or jumpback fireballs here. Nor airdash mixups + eddie.

Overall, his really terrible matchups were made not so terrible, and he can jail while playing footsies a little better. I'm satisfied with that. There's really no matchup right now that he is extremely disadvantaged in.

Sonya is still just a better Kitana, Kabal somehow went untouched, Jade got some love in one variation but the other was left largely untouched, poor Johnny got some nonsense. I'm happy for the few characters who got necessary fixes, like D'Vorah and Shao Kahn, but shit is still just poorly designed and not at all fun. Seriously, fuck Kabal in his wrinkly ashy ass.

I mostly just wanted the patch to focus primarily on the KBs and hit/hurtboxes.. it still did that but it clearly wasn't the main focus. Whatever, maybe next patch.
The only big question mark for me is this, why weren't SZ and Kabal touched? Methinks they're going to be top contenders now.. we'll see.

Would of liked to see a maybe a flawless block gap in something of kabals that would of been nice, I dont mind playing vs him that much.

I mean there are a lot of changes so I don't even know all of them, and I haven't gotten a chance to play the game, AND it just came out today so it would be a knee-jerk reaction to say it's good or bad.

But, on paper everything looks fine. I think the first patch took a little too long, and I think there are still some things that need to be touched on like Krushing Blows, etc, but again everything look fine.

This change is perfect for good scorpion players. Complainers get to stop complaining, and good scorpion players will literally not change a thing about how they are playing the character. The character has great buttons, staggers, offense in general. If you're not happy that he didn't get more nerfed, that's a clear sign that the character is a crutch for you.

chill out because you have got it twisted. I'm not looking for a scorpion rework. it's literally little things like b141 does nothing now, ex burning spear does nothing now, and airgrab is still just a gimmick. I know what scorpion's strengths are but there are just these little things that bug me like why are these just so useless

I don't mind his fb its good for sure I am just always ready for it when he has it, well most the time lol.
It must just be my connection with Hellbringer, but if I wait to press block until I hear the startup, it’s too late and I get hit. So when he has it, I can’t press a button or do anything. Even if I’m doing nothing but scouting it out, if I’m not already blocking when he uses it, I’m getting hit.

This game did nothing for my main, however, it has proven NRS can patch things in moderation, and certain characters receiving nerfs and adjustments helps Kano indirectly.

Positive patch for me, NRS. If they can patch without turning the game COMPLETELY on its head, like turning multiple high tiers into low tiers, and vice versa, I’ll be satisfied.
